A: Yeah this should work. I'm pretty much doing the same thing. Taking L and R outputs of my audio interface and merging them into a stereo feed to take into 3.5mm/line-in.

I was annoyed at the price of these until I realised that they were triple shielded, so well with it if you have a lot of cable clutter like me. A downside of that is that the cables are much stiffer than you'd expect, but these aren't as bad as some I've used. The 6.3mm inputs are also very close together, which is perfect for what I was doing, but not so great if you want to use them for speakers. Overall, very good.
