Clever, portable design and premium build
Simple and very compact design. Unique because it packs away flat and you bend it to form the arc shape before use. I've not had this long enough to comment on how robust the moving joint (and associated electronics) inside the flexible rubber exterior that makes this possible is. However, I think this is a quality product and a lot of attention has probably gone into the design and quality of construction. Pairing was very straightforward and once paired, using it was just a case of bending it into shape to switch it on. The mouse then works just like any other good quality optical mouse but the left and right clicks are housed under a track pad that works flawlessly for horizontal and vertical scrolling. Again, I've not had the mouse long enough to comment on battery life. In any case, it only uses two AAA batteries so it is never going to be expensive to run! This is quite an expensive mouse but it feels like a premium product with a very clever, portable design so I am pleased with my purchase. However, as a premium product, I would have expected some sort of case to have been included, even if it was a simple cloth bag.

Great looking mouse and it saves a USB slot
Lets face it, I bought it because it looked cool. For that it has hit the mark- five stars. On top of that it works really well as a mouse on every surface tried so far. It fits the hand well and has that nice matt feel which hopefully will last. I was worried about resting my finger on the right side of the pad while clicking with the left but it seems smart enough to work that out. The scroll up/down works really well being speed sensitive. The connection by Bluetooth to my Dell XPS 13 was easy and has been very stable so far. Almost everyone who has admired it up has wondered out loud how long the break switch will last but I guess we will know that in a year or two. What would be really nice would be track-pad style multi-finger support for zoom, clear screen etc which it feels like its capable of doing but doesn't. Other than that its a very pleasing travel mouse.

Microsoft Surface Arc Mouse – Review
The Microsoft Surface Arc Mouse is an interesting idea, minimalist and sublime – it is what it is – a travel mouse that can be flattened for easy storage/travel, or “arced” to act as a mouse when needed. It’s a nice gimmick, being able to fold the mouse into an arc when used – it also happens to switch the mouse on as well. The out-of-the-box experience is also minimal. All you get in the box is the mouse, some instructions, and the two AAA Batteries it needs. Yes, it needs batteries, which, in the day and age of rechargeability, is something of a letdown. Given Mircosoft are still making the Arc Mouse in 2024, it’s time they innovated and released one with a rechargeable internal battery. That aside, the mouse is comfortable to hold and use, although requires a firm press to get it to click – it might wear in with use and become easier to click in future. The touch-scroll feature works without issue. It’s different from an ordinary wheeled mouse, but not too different. Battery life – is unknown at the moment, I’ve only been using it for a day. But I’ll keep an eye on it. Once the batteries it came with have died, I shall swap them out with a couple of rechargeable ones. The colour is nice, I opted for the Ice Blue colour – but it looks more grey than blue. It tracks well, and set-up was easy, my Surface Laptop picked it up as soon as I switched it on. Overall, 9/10. It loses a point for not being rechargeable, (come on Microsoft, it’s doable!), but aside from that it’s a nice and comfortable mouse.

Super Lightweight, Portable Mouse
I really like this mouse. It has left click, right click and scroll. You can also assign a three finger click to a shortcut - I have this set so that it will trigger the back button on web browsers etc. The mouse is lightweight and although quite compact, feels nice in hand. It love the way folds flat to turn it off and for storage. It’s is just so super portable and fits really easily into a pocket in my laptop bag. The mouse is powered by two AAA batteries which tend to last many months of daily use. It’s connects via Bluetooth to windows or Mac devices easily and without the need for dongles etc. I have a couple of windows and Mac devices and have observed the connection to be robust and reliable. I have two of these mice and unfortunately I did have an issue where the surface finish on one of them started to wear through in the mouse button area. Microsoft support handled the issue really well though and sent me a replacement free of charge. I’m sure this issue was just an anomaly as my other arc mouse is even older has not shown these signs of wear.

Great for mouse action on the go
I use to laptops frequently: a Macbook Pro and a Thinkpad. This mouse works beautifully with both of them and definitely enhances my ease of us for work and play. The snap to activate feature is absolutely epic and worth the price of admission alone! Being able to store the mouse flat and knowing it is deactivated is a real selling point for me as it's a cinch to transport and store in my bag. Being able to whip it out, snap it into action and just into navigating is really intuitive and quick. So far this mouse has taken quite a lot of abuse, being knocked about in my bag, sat on multiple times, squashed by heavy items and generally knocked about. Despite that it remains solid and reliable, time will tell if it can tolerate a year or two of being on the road but so far the signs are good. Battery life is reasonable and accuracy of actual mouse action is great with options to customise speed and clicking to your exact preferences. Overall I love this mouse, primarily for its form factor and somewhat gimmicky but IRL awesome 'snap to activate' feature. I'd recommend buying the mouse on sale as i managed to snag it at near half-price (£45ish) which I felt was worth it.

Stylish and comfortable
Great mouse when paired with a Surface Pro (7). The folding design allows me to carry this around in my bag without fear of damage or taking up too much space. I like the use of touch pad over traditional left and right buttons and a mousewheel; I'm able to scroll using just one finger both vertically and horizontally which is a joy when working with spreadsheets. Bluetooth wireless connection is fine, battery life seems solid enough.

Design and Portability Over Functionality | Best for Casual Use
I had been using the older Microsoft Arc Touch mouse for over 3 years, and decided to pick up the newer version because of how much I loved the previous one. However, this time I am disappointed with how much Microsoft traded practicality for design. The best features of this device is undoubtedly its portability and design. The mouse is small enough to fit in your (men's) jean pockets, and the "snap-on" feature is also excellent. It is very easy to learn and use. The design is also very pleasing to the eye. The new Arc mouse has only a single button with touch functions. The mouse distinguishes left-right-middle click, based on the location and number of fingers you use to click. This means that you cannot right click while your index finger is resting on the mouse. Rapid left-right clicking is much harder on this mouse, and I'm still making mistakes after using it for over a week. Meanwhile, the middle click function requires you to place 3 fingers on the mouse. This is awkward at first, but you get used to it. You can change what function the 3-finger click does with Microsoft's software, but I find the middle click to be most useful. Scrolling is done naturally on any part of the touch surface, and additionally allows for horizontal scrolling. This is a nice feature, but is the most I can praise it. Actual scrolling is not well implemented. The vertical scrolling is simultaneously too slow for casual usage (web browsing), and too fast for any precision usage (video/photo editing). Again, you can adjust the scroll sensitivity with Microsoft's software, but I find it's not that helpful. The horizontal scrolling even is worse, with scroll speeds so slow it's practically unusable, and it doesn't even work with most programs. (Horizontal sensitivity cannot be adjusted). I am ambivalent about the lack of tactile feedback on scrolling. TLDR: All in all, the mouse has great designs, but poor actual usage. Power users, who are proficient on the computer would likely find the experience frustrating, so steer clear of this product. However, for casual users who want a good-looking mouse with ease of use and good portability, I think you will enjoy this product.

Super makkelijk in gebruik
Super handig, geen gedoe met aansluiten. Aanzetten en via BlueTooth direct verbinding. Prettig in gebruik.

Klare Kaufempfehlung! 👍
