Vax AP01 Air Purifier, White

Absolutely Fantastic Purchase. I have been struggling with my breathing in my flat for almost a year.... I live next to a motorway and I have 3 pets (2 cats and a dog) and I was relying on my inhaler far too often...in fact my inhaler was only prescribed when I went to the Drs with my complaints about 1 year ago (!!)....I have attached 2 pictures of the filter in the unit taken just 5 days after setting them up. This particular one was in my bedroom...and as you can see.....it has definitely been working and I absolutely can feel a difference after just 5 days of using it. I run it at full speed during the day when i am at work and then just on low for a few hours in the evening (same with the one in the living room) It has been the best purchase I have made. Even better though is proving my other half right: the air in our flat was toxic and it wasn't in my head!

3 settings - I leave mine on lowest running 24/7 which gives a nice ambient hum. The price seems to fluctuate at lot and this isn't great as I bought mine when it was 85 and it fell to 75 straight after. But as far as air cleaners go this is a nice choice, and it does seem to improve air quality over time.

This cushion sized device sits at the top of the stairs and during the hot weather it has been invaluable in making the house more comfortable. I was considering splashing out on a dyson but I'm very pleased with this much more affordable Vax,

Now I can pass gas in the office without effecting anyone else.

This is on constantly in baby's bedroom. He used to suffer from colds but since this has been used he's been doing great. There are 3 power settings: low-med-high. You can also set it on timer for 2-4-8 hours. You get replacement filters which we've used from Vax on Amazon too.As a bonus, this makes white noise when on so it's soothing for baby and helps with sleep - massive plus point for me!

This machine is fantastic. I have had an annoying cough for years, but this has made a huge difference. I am amazed at the amount of dust etc that it has collected in such a short time. I now open it weekly and vacuum the filter. I move it from room to room, but may purchase another one to leave in bedroom, it is that good!

I will have to admit, I was sceptical about getting this product or the true effectiveness of air purifiers. With hay fever season in full swing, I decided to try it out and see if it would provide some added comfort at night. The result: A good night's sleep. When I have any issues during the day, I run this for an hour before I go to bed and have a much more comfortable sleep. The low fan mode is fine when sleeping, no louder than a regular fan on the lowest setting but it's not silent. It should be noted that the filters are expensive to replace but I have no complaints. However, I do think the room size description may not be as 'accurate' as indicated.

You might expect that a mode called Low (Silence Technology®) would be, well, silent. It isn’t. Far from it. I quite like a bit of white noise while I sleep but this is a bit much. It is like an ordinary fan (which, lets face it, is all this is, with a filter stuck on the side) on a medium/high setting.It is also a bit pricey for a fan with a filter stuck on the side.What I find most annoying, is the one factor which shows that the design of this device has really not been given much though, are the indicator lights on the top. They are simply far too bright. If you have designed a machine with a “silent” mode you might expect your customers to use it in a bedroom at night. You might expect your customers to prefer a bedroom that is not lit up like a Christmas tree. Yet there is no option to switch these lights off, nor are they dimmed when in low mode.
