Visua Professional Discriminating Metal Detector (Detector Kit: H/Phones Batts & Pick)

When this arrived it was clear that the item was poorly packaged, as the box was open. Upon closer inspection the headphones, the 'professional' pick and all of the batteries were missing. After assembling the metal detector it became apparent that it was constructed out of very poor quality plastic. Once we had fitted it with OUR OWN batteries we set about trying to locate Roman coins, pieces of eight and/or buried treasure and it quickly became clear that our dreams of discovering a local Saxon hoard had been quashed after flippantly trying to detect the garden gate and identifying the gate (obviously made of iron to anyone in the detectoring world) was non-ferrous and that the air surrounding us was also largely composed on non-ferrous metals, as was the grass, the house, and everything else we could find in the near vicinity. Once we showed our new detector to the members of the local club, The D.I.R.T.S (The Doulting Independent Relic Tracking Society) we were laughed out for asking for help with such a poor quality and non professional detector, now they may never let us join. As the great Heinrich Schliemann once said "We could imagine nothing pleasanter than to spend all of our lives digging for relics of the past." but alas we will have to continue to imagine the pleasure as that void is, at present, filled with the crushing disappointment of purchasing such a poor quality tool. Let this sad story be a lesson to any budding detectorists out there, do not be fooled by promise of Roman coins, pieces of eight or other miscellaneous buried treasure because the only thing you'll find with this sub-par detector, is disappointment deep within yourself.

We wanted a fun yet workable detector for our 9 year old son and this is ideal. It is a great package for the price and he has had a lot of fun with it already, finding bits of old metal junk in the yard. It is also a great company to deal with. The first detector they sent must have been damaged in the post because it did not work. I contacted them, got a very helpful and courteous response, and after providing a few more details they sent a replacement immediately, without asking for the old one to be returned. It arrived within a few days and works perfectly.

it looks the part and does what it should do a bit fiddlly setting up to use but once you master the controls its a piece of cake only downfall is the head phones they are not the greatest of fits they slip and slide on your head not to good on the grip other wise very pleased with the product its self

Pretty simple to use. Good overall quality item. Foldup shovel and pick is pretty sturdy compared to what I was expecting. Overall seems good for the price. May not be as long as some people would require. I'm 5ft 10 and found I had to lean down a bit to keep the sensor pad close to the ground. Apart from that ideal for finding hidden metals and maybe treasures with the kids

My husbands he as only used it a couple times

like it, takes awhile to get use to setting it up, but have found 16 pence so far, still looking for gold

I love it it takes a little time to get it set up but it's probably just me, it works, a bit awkward to carry but worth the money

It's really good. My grandson was thrilled with it.
