Does the job the small humming sound mentioned by other users is hardly noticeable, unless you are easily irritated!

It worked well out of the box. The only think that would have been useful for Belkin to include would have been a Display Port to HDMI lead.

When i test disk speed its not 40gb/s not super slow but 3-400 Mb/s slower then directly in my Imac 2019. And yes i have testet it with only the disk inserted so no interferens.It sendt voltage out on the cat, again work fine but feels something like phantom power (48v) on my cat6 with a metal shell.And last but not least, it has a high pitch sound. 8000Hz abd my Belkin Thunderbolt 2 duck has the same issue. Just on a different mac and different location.So works fine but.......

This product is rubbish, the DisplayPort out has not been tested and does not work. I have a MBP 2017 and Dell UP3216Q running at 4K. The first unit I ordered would drive the screen but occasionally the screen would flicker or turn off for short periods. I got amazon to send a replacement and that one wouldn't drive the screen at all. The screen would just not turn on. I have spent more than 1 month with Belkin support and they took around 2 weeks to respond to each email. After more than 1 month they got as far as asking "have you tried a new cable", when my original request tells them about my experience with different cables and how longer cables caused the screen not to work at all. Completely useless product and completely useless support. Zero stars!

This product fundamentally works as advertised with my MacBook Pro 13 Touch. My only comments are ...A. Unlike the previous USB-C to HDMI converter I was using before, when cold booting the video doesn't work, which means I have to open the laptop screen up to perform the initial logon. A similar thing occurs if the laptop has gone into a deep sleep and needs to be woken.B. I don't understand why there aren't more USB ports on this device. The number provided is in my view insufficient given it's role as something you leave on your desk. I've already filled mine. Even a bunch of USB2 ports would help as the majority of peripherals don't need much bandwidth.

Very easy setup, and works flawlessly. Improved my home office by quite a lot.

All seems to work well for me but I think it is too expensive for what it is!

I have a couple of issues with this dock which are making it unusable for me.1. I am using a USB-C to DP for one monitor and the built in DP for the other. The direct DP monitor randomly flickers every now and again. Searching online shows other people with the same issue.2. When doing a little more powerful stuff on my mac it seems to be using more power than the dock can provide so my Mac ends up dying while connected. I've even just had a few tabs open in Chrome and playing music and it wasn't able to deliver.I have spoke with Belkin support over the phone for the first issue, they promised to call me back at a set time and failed, calling back at random inconvenient times have left me without a working device.
