Excellent as a snack
I have been having difficulties with slight lightheaded shakiness when I only have a Shake or Meal Bar for breakfast (and no, I'm not diabetic), so I have been chewing on a snack bar with my breakfast Shake, as part of my 3 snacks per day. This has helped, but I thought that I would try the Golden Syrup Porridge as my snack, to go with the Shake, and it does seem to be offsetting the lightheaded shakiness. I don't consider the porridge on its own to be sufficient for a meal replacement, but it IS within the calorie range to act as a snack (and the packaging suggests that it is a snack). Yes, it's a modest portion size, and yes, made with water it doesn't look particularly appetising - but hey, the idea is to lose weight, and I've lost 10lbs in my first two weeks on Slimfast, so as long as it works I'll stick with it. I love the variety of products available, and I love having the generous 600 calorie main meal to look forward to.I actually have two "Non-Diet Days" each week (Wednesday and Sunday), but I find that I'm not bingeing on those days, because I'm not really depriving myself all that much on the "Diet Days" - and I don't want to undo the good work that I've done on the Diet Days. It just means that I can have toast for breakfast, maybe with an egg or two!! I have a lot of weight to lose, so I'm in this for the long haul, and as long as I can have some of my usual foods once or twice a week, I'm content to carry on with the Slimfast regime. I couldn't have done this diet while I was working, but it does fit in with my lifestyle now that I have retired.My only disappointment with Slimfast is that they don't manufacture soups. I really enjoy having soup for lunch, so I have been having a meal replacement soup from another slimming product range (which contains around the same calories as a Shake or Meal Bar). Coupled with a pack of Slimfast savoury snacks it is a very fulfilling lunch - or evening meal if I've had my main meal midday.

Nice and easy
This is a great breakfast when needing to drop a few pounds. I have mine with added cinnamon for a bit more flavour. After a couple of days I do start to find it slightly too sweet, but it keeps me full until lunchtime.

Bit too gloopy for my liking
Overall the taste itself isn't bad, but it's rather gloopy in texture compared to other porridge.That said it is very filling, even though it only seems like a small portion size

Favourite slim fast product!
Out of all the things I tried in the slim fast pack, this is the only one I bought separately which should tell you I'm a fan :)I think portion size is tiny (yes, that is likely the key reason I am eating slim fast but even after several weeks, still find it tiny). My solution for this was to combine this with a snack so I add a bit of cinnamon (hopefully doesn't count) and blueberries or raspberries - whichever I find in the fridge. With these additions, quite a nice breakfast.I think the konjac does make me feel a bit fuller but I think my fruit additions also make a difference.

Trop sucré!
Beaucoup trop sucré, au bout de 3 jours complètement écœurée par le gout très sucré de ce produit! Donc très déçue, car j'aime le porridge!
