Perfect Vlogging Companion - Finally, A Camera That Gets It
After years of wrestling with clunky DSLRs and mediocre smartphone video, the Sony ZV-1F has completely transformed my content creation game. It's clear this camera was designed by creators who genuinely understand the challenges vloggers face. The 20mm ultra-wide lens is a game-changer. I can now capture myself and the entire background without awkward contortions or relying on a selfie stick. The background defocus feature is pure magic—with a single button press, I can seamlessly switch between beautifully blurred backgrounds and crystal-clear shots, which is perfect for product reviews. Autofocus on this camera is mind-blowingly good. It locks onto my face and refuses to let go, even when I'm moving around or showcasing products. The Eye AF is so reliable that I've stopped obsessing over whether I'm in focus. The Product Showcase mode has revolutionized my unboxing videos, smoothly shifting focus to whatever I'm holding without any frustrating hunting or confusion. The audio quality caught me completely off guard. The built-in directional mic with its windscreen delivers sound quality that puts my previous external mic setup to shame. I've filmed next to bustling streets, and the background noise suppression ensures my voice remains crystal clear. Solo shooting has never been easier, thanks to the flip-out screen and intuitive controls. The red recording light is a brilliant touch—no more wasting time talking to a camera that wasn't even recording. The battery life keeps me going all day with a spare, and USB-C charging means I can quickly top up between locations. At its price point, the ZV-1F absolutely demolishes the competition. It's compact, produces stunning 4K footage, handles low light impressively, and most importantly, it gets out of the way and lets me focus on creating. For anyone serious about vlogging or content creation who wants to avoid complicated camera systems, this is the ultimate solution. My content quality skyrocketed, and my workflow became dramatically simpler. I cannot recommend this camera enough.

Good budget video camera to get started!
An overall great budget camera for videos! To get started it is great! A step up from iphone recording. Battery dies sort of quickly so it’s a great beginner vlogging camera or camera you can use more discretely on the go! It’s good quality recording. The screen is great how you can see yourself while recording!

Perfect camera for content creators
I’ve been using the Sony ZV-1F for creating content and social media videos, and I love it. The video quality is excellent, the autofocus works well, and it’s easy to use even for beginners. It’s lightweight and perfect for taking with me anywhere. I highly recommend it for anyone starting their content creation journey.

Great Camera for Beginner Creators – Compact, Sharp & Easy to Use
I’ve been using the Sony ZV-1F for a few weeks now, and overall, I’m really happy with it! As someone who makes content for YouTube and Instagram, I wanted a camera that’s better than my phone but not overly complicated — and this hits the mark. The image quality is excellent, especially in good lighting. The colors are vibrant, skin tones look natural, and the 20mm wide lens is perfect for vlogging or talking to the camera handheld. It gives a nice wide frame without distorting my face, and everything stays in focus thanks to the eye-tracking autofocus. Audio quality is surprisingly good — I haven’t even needed to use an external mic yet. The built-in microphone does a great job, and the windscreen included in the box actually works well outdoors. One of my favorite things is how simple and intuitive everything is. The touchscreen controls, the flip-out screen, and quick menu options make filming feel easy and even fun. It’s also very lightweight — great for travel or filming on the go. That said, there are a couple of downsides. Since the lens is fixed, you can’t zoom in optically, which limits how flexible it is for different shooting styles. Also, low-light performance is just okay — indoors or at night, the footage can get grainy unless you use extra lighting. And the stabilization is only digital, so walking shots can look a bit shaky unless you’re careful. But honestly, for the price and what it’s built for — quick, casual, quality content — it’s fantastic. If you’re a beginner, solo creator, or just want a step up from your phone without breaking the bank, the ZV-1F is a great choice.

VERY Amazing Camera...But...
This is an amazing camera. The picture quality is just so crisp and clean. The built in stabilizer is top notch so the camera won't be shaking too much when vlogging or filming. The built in mic is also very good however for me I have an EXCELLENT external mic brand: Hollyland. I recommend everyone get one of those mic sets, pretty expensive but worth it, they are so cool the way they work and charge, and they are magnetic meaning they just magnetically clips onto your collar or the necklace they send with it just be careful to drop mics and lose them, because they are wireless and magnetic, you might be swatting at a fly and hit the mic on accident and it will fall off without you noticing so be mindful of that as well. This camera was made for vlogging. It is compact and light-weight. Very easy to use options and menu. It took me less than 30 minutes to figure out where and what each menu option is(however I do have lots of experience with previous cameras so that made it easier). The picture quality is the highlight. The colors are nice and vibrant. The only couple reasons I gave it 4 stars are actually very fixable and avoidable issues. First issue is battery life records to maybe only 45 minutes, but if you buy extra batteries with their charging ports(you can find a lot of cheap battery options here on Amazon that come with a pack of 3 or even 4 batteries with their charging ports so you can charge all of them at once.) All you have to do is when you're low battery you can just end the clip, replace battery, start a new clip and continue. The second issue is DO NOT DROP THIS CAMERA, EVEN IN THE SLIGHTEST WAY. My friend has the same camera and he walked into a spider web once and dropped it but it kind of rolled down his body and lightly hit the floor, but the whole auto focus system get ruined. He said it would focus and unfocus randomly and consistently and that it would make some sounds. Just take good care of the camera and maybe buy a protectant cover for it if they exist. I personally take very good care of the camera and I'm always conscious about not dropping it. I treat it almost like I'm holding a baby when I'm using it. I should give it five stars because it is a five-star camera but I had to take away a star for the battery life and for how easily it can be ruined from a simple drop. Be conscious of it and you'll be good! Hope everything I said helps! And I hope you enjoy your time filming! Check out my channel(Tee Will Explore) on YouTube if you want to get an idea of the quality. It's YouTube.com/@TeeWillExplore Look at newer vlogs because I was using another camera for the first like 7 or 8 vlogs. Bye!

GOAT vlogging camera
Great camera for beginner videographers. Super lightweight and takes great video. Not the best for real cinematography as it’s just not super diverse with what it can do. But for vlogging, might be the best camera out there.

A Vlogger's dream from Sony
I recently purchased the Sony ZV-1F Vlog Camera and am thrilled with its performance! As a content creator, I needed a camera that balances quality, portability, and ease of use, and this one hits all the marks. The 20.1 MP sensor captures stunning images and smooth 4K video, which has improved the quality of my vlogs significantly. The flip-out touchscreen is a fantastic feature for framing shots while I'm in front of the camera, making it super user-friendly for solo filming. The background defocus button is another nice touch, allowing me to effortlessly blur the background and make myself stand out in my videos. One of the best aspects is the built-in microphone, which captures clear audio even in windy conditions, reducing the need for external mics during casual shoots. It’s compact and lightweight, perfect for on-the-go vlogging or traveling. If I had to mention a downside, the battery life could be better for long shoots. Still, the Sony ZV-1F is a solid investment for anyone serious about creating high-quality content. I highly recommend it for vloggers and content creators looking to elevate their production value!

Fantastic, if you understand what it is.
I wanted some thing small and simple which would give me good audio and an improved picture as compared to the front facing camera on my iPhone 15 Pro Max. I wanted it to be small for portability and capable of producing very good video on automatic settings, since I shoot my Vlogs very quickly and extemporaneously. I don’t have the inclination to check for perfect exposure, etc.. This camera is smaller than you probably think it is. Perfectly pocketable. Video on this is substantially better than video from the front facing camera on my phone. The audio from the built-in mics are better than the iPhones, meaning I don’t need to use a Lavalier or other microphone for really fantastic audio. I tried a budget action cam, But the picture was not appreciably better than Myphone and in some cases was worse. The microphone was garbage and it had no standard jack for audio. It had a proprietary port, so I returned it.. I paid absolute full price for this, missing the Amazon sales unfortunately. Yet, I’m not returning this camera. It is my new vlog camera. I am very, very, very happy with a spectacular picture, quality and remarkable audio. The view from my mounting bracket is plenty wide. I have a Sony ZVE 10 for more serious filming, but this pocket guy does such a good job that it will become my workhorse. You’re going to get a better picture than an action cam and a microphone jack, but you may not need it. You’re not going to get a better picture than a Sony ZVE 10 or a 1000 or 2000 or $5000 DLSR or mirrorless camera. What you will get is video that is almost as good from a tiny little package that really impresses.. Highly recommended
