Fantastic grinder! I use it with my French press and Warpath coffee every morning, set to a medium grind. Much better than buying a $250 electric grinder that will eventually break.

There are several versions of this grinder available, and I was not paying enough attention when I ordered mine to be mindful about ordering an option with a folding handle, which would make it far more compact for traveling. I did, however, appreciate how compact this otherwise is, and how supremely adjustable the grind coarseness is, and the fact that the grind size is consistent for each setting, so you can rely on exactly how coarse your coffee grounds will be, depending on which setting you choose. I do like that this has a chamber that can be screwed onto the bottom to hold the grounds, so you don't have to grind your beans directly into a filter or french press - you can dump them where they need to be when you're done grinding. I also like to use this chamber to carry the beans I intend to grind, if taking this somewhere overnight. I just wish that handle folded!

This hand grinder is very nice aesthetically, but it is not practical when wanting ground coffee. It takes a lot of time to grind the coffee to your desired grit and takes and lot of work. It is hard to turn correctly and doesn't have an ergonomic feel. I like having it next to my espresso machine to look nice as a decoration, but I do not use it. I purchased an electric grinder that only takes the push for a button and time.

I am so excited about this coffee grinder. I am trying to get better at making coffee from home, enjoying the art of it, and having fun. I wanted to grind my own beans as I have heard a lot about it and I think that it would be fun to feel like I have made every step of my coffee from whole bean to in my cup. While I have never had a grinder before, I am immensely impressed with this grinder personally. The metal materials and overall construction is incredibly solid and heavy-duty. I truly think that this is going to last me forever and it was such a good deal for the price. I have just done some brief window shopping, and this is a much heavier duty than anything else that I have picked up and felt in store before. I was also really impressed with the packaging. It comes in a really nice-looking box that is thick cardboard with heavy-duty foam, as I showed in the pictures. I am keeping it for myself so it isn’t important for me personally but it would be great if you were giving this as a gift because it has a really nice unboxing experience. I appreciate that there was time to make it an enjoyable open. It also comes with instructions, a brush and a nice carrying bag, which I will actually keep (usually I throw them away if they’re cheap). I am really impressed and I feel like this is such a good deal. I feel like I definitely got a lot of value, and I really appreciated that there were no corners cut. I highly recommend and I am so excited to grind my first beans after I get through my current ground supply!
