Brilliant, very sturdy, easy to use, great value. If the slices of bread are small then 2 slices would fit easily on it, one normal slice fits nicely. Toasts quickly and evenly, handle doesn't get hot so picking it up is no problem.

Used this whilst camping, on a gas camping stove. It's two flat pieces of metal, bottom one is solid and the top has lots of little holes in it. It worked well and toasted our bread and also bagels. Just a word of advice though, I couldnt just leave it there and wait though, as I had to jiggle the bread/bagel around a lot. Otherwise I ended up with lots of tiny burnt circles!

Excellent item, far better than the rubbish pyramid toast plates you can get for the portable gas stoves. Arrived quickly and I tested it at home. We go camping a lot and really miss having toast. What amazed me was how quickly this thing toasted the bread - it was amazing - I only needed to have the gas on a low setting and it still cooked it pretty well.Naturally, it's not going to toast as well as a full-on domestic toaster - but to be fair it was pretty damn good considering. It toasted one slice pretty well and I tried 2 at the same time - just had to make sure to turn/rotate them regularly so they cook evenly.Would highly recommend this product, only minor point is the handle gets very hot as it's also made of metal - so watch out and use a tea towel or something ! :o)Some people have commented that the product picture shows a stove (which isn't included) - but to be honest you'd have to be pretty special to think at this price it included the stove as well. Lol. They've just tried to show the toast-plate in context.

It works! Toasts your bread, quickly and evenly.

Used camping and quite honestly fell in love with toast again.Down side... is it's not the most fun to clean.. and dry.Don't regret buying though, but early to say as I have only used it a couple times.

Tried a lot of different styles of camping toasters over the years all of which were next to useless and ended up being binned. I'd all but given up hope of decent toast while out in my tent but I got this on a whim after seeing someone use it on YouTube and I absolutely love it! Heats up quickly so you're not wasting gas, and toasts the bread evenly. I also like the fact that it folds flat and slips down the side of your backpack, so not bulky to carry. Well worth the money.
