Flat as a pancake
I felt I should attempt some poor wit for the required review title. This was a bargain at £2.49 when I purchased it. (Currently £7.44). The rolling pin is solid beech and 40cm wide and if you roll it on squidgy things.. they go flat. Exactly what I want from a rolling pin! ;) It feels weighty. Mine is rather smooth, but it is unpolished so you might want to steralise with alcohol or vinegar before and after using/washing if you're worried about bacteria and the like. This isn't one that'd last a lifetime for that reason. Think smartprice wooden spoon. If you're just a cookies at Christmas baker, I doubt you'll have an issue. I personally wouldn't pay the current price for it. But I only bought it for cinnamon rolls and such, I tend to bake cakes. Unfortunately, I'm not 10 anymore with milkbottles delivered to my door which we used to use instead!

I just add a bit of extra flour and it's fine. It's a good standard size
A solid piece of beech wood. It isn't polished or sealed but we haven't had any problems with any splintering. Perhaps because it is a bit unpolished, it does tend to stick to the dough a bit more than say, a glass pin or a sealed wooden pin and leave the dough a bit more rough looking - but that's to be expected for the item considering its description and price. I just add a bit of extra flour and it's fine for me. It's a good standard size. If you go in with reasonable expectations (having looked at the dimensions), I can't imagine you'll be disappointed. If you are a full-time pastry chef or just love to bake, I think I'd invest in something a bit higher quality.

Decent
Good little rolling pin but it’s already split at one end. It’s only a little one so as long as it doesn’t grow, it’ll be ok

C'mere I'll get ya!
Sometimes, I like to tie a checkered tea towel around my head like a bandana and wear an old timey dress and chase my husband about the street waving this rolling pin just as an old fashioned joke. I don't have a husband so I just wait for someone to walk by

Does the job
It does the Job. Was expecting something bigger but maybe I didn't pay attention to the size.

Light weight
It’s ok but I prefer one with a bit of weight in it . Rather disappointed .

How effective and speedy this site was even at the present time
I sent this product to my sister as she was “returning to home baking “and she realised that she didn’t even have a rolling pin . She improvised with a kitchen roll holder but was delighted when her surprise arrived !

Cheap and pefectly good
Some things I feel are worth spending extra on but despite being a keen baker I wasn't sure a new rolling pin was one of them. This looks very similar to the one my mother used, and like the one I lost - not sure how you manage to lose a rolling pin - and cost just £2.99. Works perfectly well so am glad I didn't splash out on something high tech and modern.
