These are exactly what I wanted to be safe with my mandoline slicer. I was unsure which size to order. My wrist is 6 1/4" with a snug measuring tape. I am a woman with large hands; I buy men's gloves for gardening. A large fits just right. I wear latex gloves over these, just because it is easier to toss them when I am done rather than wash these, although even that would be easy enough as in washing hands before removing the gloves.
