Pink Himalayan salt is chemically similar to table salt. It contains up to 98 percent sodium chloride. The remainder of the salt is made up of trace minerals, such as potassium, magnesium, and calcium, which give the salt its light pink tint. I wouldn't use on broken skin but I do wash my face when I have a bath and I now have good skin. Any salt is good for skin, its why your skin feels good after swim in the sea but if salt hurts your excema then don't use this product. I use this in the bath to help with my psoriasis. This seems of decent quality and like some brands I have purchased in the past it doesn’t (or hasn’t as of yet) leave any pink staining in the bath. 99.8% of it seems to dissolve but there are always a few granules that seem not to. These seem to be a mid sized granule. Not sure if these are food grade (as they have now seemed to have removed this notice from the Packaging) but being naturally sourced I don’t see why not. I still have some food grade Pink HS that I use for salt when cooking and eating- in a grinder (those granules are bigger probably about twice the size) but I also do have a habit of eating a grain or two of these when adding to the bath and don’t tastes any difference, it tastes like salt.
