It's a great clock!
This clock is everything I expected, and then some. The quality is good, and it looks good on the wall. Easy to read from several feet away, and quiet. The instructions were OK, but I'd like to have seen them a little larger and expanded a bit. The best part is how it sets itself according to the signal from the naval observatory. It hangs in my dining room and there have been a couple times when having a meal that I looked up and saw that the hands had stopped. At first I was a little alarmed, but then I watched as it slowly reset itself to the current time. After it was satisfied with itself, the second hand started sweeping across the face again. Pretty cool. There really was not one thing I would have changed about it or that was unexpected. Great value for the money and easy to use. I recommend it and the company highly.

Attractive and accurate
Always get an atomic clock, it never needs anything more than a battery every so often. This one with the wood frame is large enough to read anywhere on the patio and is unobtrusive. The wood fits in with the plants and the outdoors.

Very accurate and visually appealing
The clock arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. My first impression was that it is a nice clock, easy to read, and has a timeless—no pun intended—design. The clock can be manually set, but it is pretty tedious, so I just followed the instructions and let it set itself. All you have to do is select the time zone and daylight saving time using the switches on the back and press the button and it resets to midnight and then searches for the atomic clock time signal. (Of note, this clock can only be used in the 48 contiguous United States or countries that fall within one of those time zones, because the time zone switch only allows for the four main U.S. time zones.) It did take a while to acquire a signal and set itself, which the instructions warned me about, but by the next day the clock was set and telling time accurately to the second as verified by the NIST server. Overall, this clock is an excellent proposition for the price and looks good hanging up in my kitchen. I would purchase it again.

Just Right
This was an excellent purchase for my kitchen wall. The atomic clock was easy to initiate, the clock keeps perfect time, the design is attractive and the face is visible across the room. There are many models available but this one checks all the boxes in terms of value and performance. I would buy it again.

Keeps time well; looks good.
So much nicer than the clock that always lost time; that it replaced! Looks just as pictured; sophisticated enough that it isn't too simple for the wall in a formal sitting area; not obnoxious in any way. Runs silently. It has kept time without any atomic connection (even near a window it could not find it) for the last 3 weeks, perfectly; bodes well for it's future. Only one star docked as it hasn't been able to connect.

So Flippin' Cool!
Beautiful, user friendly, and functional! All I had to do was set two switches, put a battery in it, and leave it alone. I didn't even need to initially set it.

Atomic Clock Hoax: Precision Promise Meets Basement Junk
Folks, look at this so-called “atomic clock.” They sell it to you as revolutionary and precise to the nanosecond, sets itself, laughs at daylight savings. Pure genius, right? Wrong. It synced once. One time. Then it just sat there, weeks behind, like it’s mocking you. You try to fix it per the “instructions”—which, by the way, are no easier than just twisting the hands yourself—and the thing falls off the wall like it’s trying to escape. Cheap finish, giant dent. Looks like it was assembled in a basement by someone who hates clocks. This isn’t precision engineering. This is a scam dressed up as high-tech. They’re lying to your face, taking your money, and handing you junk. Don’t buy it. Don’t even look at it. Walk away.

Classic Styling, Easy to Set Up, Accurate, Barely Audible "Tic"
Beautiful, classic face and hands but oak wood finish would have been more appropriate than plain walnut stain. (I may try to re-stain it.) I also wish LA CROSSE TECHNOLOGY were not written so boldly on the face; that detracts from its classic appearance. Setting up was easy: just insert a new alkaline battery, choose the time zone and DST status, place the clock on the wall and in a couple of hours it was reading exactly the same (including even the second hand position) as another atomic clock that used to hang there. However, the minute hand reaches its mark 10 seconds before the second hand reaches the 12 position, then jumps ahead too soon. It's no big deal, just a little annoying. Unlike many others, I actually prefer the intermittent advancement of the second and minute hands with its slight "tic" sound and find the continuous and silent movement of most other clocks actually boring. Addendum: I did disassemble the clock, took the wood frame to the garage, sanded the dark stain away (for the most part) and re-stained it with a combination of Golden Oak and Colonial Oak. Now the frame has some interesting character and better matches the oak window frame and calendar-surround nearby. By the way, it was good to see that the lens/glass really is glass, not plastic as so many are nowadays.

If you live outside of the United States of America this thing is a paperweight.
I have no idea why they are selling these in Europe, the clock will only conform to American time zones. There is a manual time setting function but, this defeats the purpose of having an atomic clock in the first place.

So Far So Good
Maintains accurate time, second hand is slightly off the hash mark, which is disappointing
