Hengs Industries 71112C2G1 White 12V Universal Vent

This vent might just be the BEST deal on Amazon. I purchased this item to replace the aging vent on a 2006 Coachmen trailer. The original vent still had a good seal to the roof with no leaks, but fan motor, fan blade, screen, and plastic cover were shot. I started removing the old caulk, and realized all the parts on the new vent were a direct replacement for the original. I removed all the hardware from the old vent leaving only the metal frame and then replaced each item with the new roof vent parts. Every single part fit perfectly. This saved me the time and effort of removing the old and bedding the new kit to the roof. All I have left is the new metal frame, that I can save for another time. Saved time, money, and frustration with this awesome buy.

Excellent replacement. Lots of elbow grease to do the job but this is a great affordable skylight. So far works great. Feels flimsy so not sure if it is smart to open in high wind but I just close them in that situation.

Fit great, runs great!Very quiet! Sucks there was no light on it.My camper was thicker so I had to put facile metal between the fan and the bathroom wall....that way moister didn’t get to it

I installed this in a 1979 camper as a replacement for the existing vent who's cover was shot. Fit the hole just fine and I used Henry's (in caulking tube) to seal it. Tossed the old screws and used new hex head screws. The holes didn't line up but it went on just fine and the sealant covers the old holes.Inside, the garnish leaves a small gap between it and the upper section but it's not a big deal.As for airflow, it's pretty poor and while it does exhaust air, it also causes a lot of the losses with air blowing back inside due to inefficient design. I'll be building a cardboard insert with a cutout for the fan area and see if that improves air flow. If not, we'll be buying the Hengs insert that has a ducted fan. We knew all this before purchase and went with this unit anyway because it's a great value compared to the factory ducted fan vents.

Works great, only issue was inside collar which it says it doesn't come with. Is to short. But because the description says it's not included in ordered a collar. Had to cut it down a bit (simple) looks and works great.

Normally I dont give a product that small of a review. Noise level is great, ease of install fairly easy. Durability is crap. It's to late to return as I am camping and would have a gaping hole in my roof if I did. Last night on my fourth day camping we had some small winds up to gust of maybe 15 mph. Not enough to worry about. At least I thought. My old vents did fine and they close and seal. This new one bent all to hell at the vent cover and now will not seat properly nor seal. So moral of this is if your going to buy spend the additional 15.00 and get the rain and wind cover to put on top otherwise you will be screwed. I'm giving two stars because of the good but that's it. If it wasn't for the good it would be a zero rating.Update: 6 days into camping the fan flew off and wont stay on motor. They come preassembled. This is junk. If I could throw this piece of crap at the company that built it I would.I want to put zero for rating but it wont let me

This is the quality you expect. It went right in place and I didn't notice any blemishes. It works great. The fan and motor are good quality.
