Easy to assemble light that casts almost as much light as your standard ceiling fixture - and it's semi modular too, the four screwable rods could easily become five or six to increase height if you acquire more than the standard four provided, or you could only use one or even no rods and create a lamp - albeit a rather large and bright one.The only downside to this lamp is the price of the light bulbs you put in it, but they seem to last a long while - before I moved into my own place, I had one of these lamps in my bedroom at night and throughout my entire teen years the bulb never blew in it, so they are definitely built to last.One of these provides enough light to see reliably in any room. Two of these will completely light the room up to daytime levels, especially when using Opal White bulbs at 600 lumens.

The item speaks for itself in a way. It's a simple, cheap but well-made IKEA uplighter. The lamp-socket is an edison-screw type (E27).The shade is made of white plastic but gives off a slightly 'warm' light. Comes with a solid, heavy base for stability. The height is adjustable by simply leaving out sections of the metallic 4-part shaft (they screw into each other). The mains lead emerges form the top (lamp) section and can be clipped to the shaft with provided clips. This was a gift, but I've used many around my house over the years with no problems (apart form the occasional cleaning of the shade bowl, which is normal of course). No need for expensive first-time uplighters. These allow experimentation as they're so cheap, then if you like the effect, more expensive arty types are available. Recommended.

Nice wee lamp for our snug room. Fairly sturdy but we have it behind a chair and no wee ones running around. Gives off a nice light. Bowl is plastic and not glass but the price reflects that.

Very easy to assemble. The light has a warm glow which makes you feel nice and cosy. Good price and I'm sure I will be buying another one again soon. Light bulb is not included.

Plastic has melted away and crumbled off around holder and base of shade.Very dangerous fire hazard as this should have been designed to withstand heat coming off a bulb due to its use!The bulb I was using is only a 6w LED so not much heat coming off it but even then the plastc material couldn't withstand the heat.

Basic lamp for use in an office. Unortantely the lamp arrived with the shade in pieces, it is very light plastic and appeared to have been dropped by delivery company as plastic bag and box damaged, when we opened the box the shade was in bits (we have images) if a new shade could be sent out it would be great as it is an odd size we have notheing which will fit

Ich habe die Lampe für einen Kumpel besorgt, er hat mir berichtet, daß die Plastikumrandung wo derLampenschirm aufliegt, zerbrochen war und so geliefert wurde. Da er aber die Lampe nicht zurück geben wollte, hat er mit Klebstoff die zerbrochenen Teile soweit zusammen geklebt, daß er Lampenschirm erst mal auf der Lampe gehalten hat.Es wäre natürlich schön, wenn man diesen zerbrochenen Lampenschirmhalterals Ersatz zu geschickt bekäme.
