We love board games as a family. We play a lot and I can tell you that this is one of the BEST games we have ever had. WAY better than original Monopoly as the game doesn't go on forever and there's not hotels or houses. You chase each other around the board just like MarioKart, it's so much fun. Each character has it's own power up and your fortunes can flip very easily. It's not about money, it's about points so you can either collect properties, money or battle bosses to get more points, it's so versatile! The pieces are good quality and the whole concept just works so well. A little disappointed that we came to this so late and you can only buy extra characters via Ebay for a lot of money as we would love to add to the collection and make the game more fun! Seriously excellent family fun as far as games go.

Pleasantly surprised! We only bought this because our son was desparate for it - as a spin off I had low expectations but actually I think as a family game it's better than conventional monopoly. For starters - there's a very definite end point - final boss battle then you're done! The only negative that I've got is that the coins are cardboard and I'm not convinced of their durability- I think it would be better if they had been made of plastic instead.

Great game but no where near enough coins given, it only comes with one sheet of coins. Every time that we've played it as a family the banker always goes bankrupt before the game is up... this shouldn't happen. We're definitely playing in the correct way and would like to request more coins to be sent to us if possible because then we will be able to enjoy the game properly. It's a very cool idea and I recommend the game, although it is quite confusing compared to the original 'monopoly game'.

This version of monopoly is great and because the way it's designed you can finish a game! Even my husband likes it as there is an element of risk in how you buy the properties as they can go up for auction and as a family we have discovered we love a bidding war. The boss fights are great too. All the elements of super Mario twisted in with monopoly makes this a popular game in our house.

Great game, brings the family together. Kids love this game and so simple to play. Brought for kids xmas present and over the past month we have played about 5 times including the wife, this to me is good as it makes me spend time with the wife and kids and we all enjoy the game.8 year old loves it, 3 year old gets tired but loves rolling the dice. Great game for a hour or 2, cheap night in I say. lolReally simple to play, teaches kids to count, part with coins (points) and build points/score to win.4 player only. some characters are better than others with the abilities they can receive.imo great game for the family.

I bought this for my 30 year old son, who is really into gaming, especially old school and we all thoroughly love this game. Each character plays the game differently and we have been tempted into buying additional characters, at £3.50 a character we do not feel that is too bad as a little add on.

What with so many different versions of a classic game, I am always skeptical, but this gamer edition is easily my favorite and not just because I am a Nintendo nerd. My kids also love anything Mario and this was no exception. The player characters are really well done and look so awesome and the board looks really good too. I also love that it has coins. My children honestly LOVE this game and they'll get years of fun out of it! Definitely recommend!

Great, well balanced twist on the original, well judged in difficulty and game length. The idea of different abilities for different characters is a great one... BUT the extra characters you can buy are a rip off! £4 + p&p and you can't even choose which character you're getting!
