Fine-blade top premium quality grass.
Beautiful and fine deep green luxury grass seed. Gives a dense lawnIf you want a deep green luxury lawn, this is great.Tolerates dappled shady areas well in my experience.Sprouts quickly and reliably if sown/spread with care and watered attentively whilst establishing.Despite last year's 2022 heatwave/drought/hosepipe ban, this grass has come back and survived fully intact.Best mix I have found for a premium/luxury lawn.Interesting to peruse the Barenbrug website who are grass specialists.

Best grass seed I've used!
We've recently moved into a new house with a fairly big garden. The garden was a bit overgrown and as we removed overgrown shrubs we exposed large areas where the lawn had died. I have a friend who recommended this brand of seed as the manufacturers are experts in their field (pun intended!) - I believe Barenbrug supply grass seed to sporting stadiums so they must know their stuff!I didn't exactly follow the instructions on the pack - I basically cleared the areas of weeds, raked over, gave the soil a bit of a soaking, scattered the seed by hand and then tossed some compost over the top and re-watered. I tried to keep everything watered daily but in practice there might have been a day or two missed.5 weeks on and the patches that I planted have a lovely thick, deep green covering of grass - the only problem is that the rest of my lawn now looks rubbish next to the new grass but that just means I'm going to have to order a bulk load of this stuff!Would highly recommend to anyone who want a lush, green and immaculately looking lawn with very little effort

Grass seed, looks fine
Box of grass seed for lawn patching. So far seed seems to have taken, time will tell how well it grows.Tricky to get too excited over box of grass seed though.

Good but not perfect.
Planted as per instructions. What has grown is ok. Not sure germination has been very good as seems quite thin. Also the birds love to eat it so I have lost some to them too.

It will look perfect even if you're bad at gardening
Yet another awesome green velvet product! 100% yield, birds won't eat the seeds, beautiful green colour - just don't expect the grass to show up in no time, it takes at least 10 days in good conditions. But it will grow, and fast.

Does the job.
I had a lot of patches on my grass this year having decided to be ruthless in getting rid of the moss! I wanted something that would fill the gaps quickly. This product did the job. It took a wee bit longer than the three days suggested on the pack before it germinated, probably more 6 to 7, however when it did appear it literally did so overnight and grew very quickly. You could almost see it grow as you looked at it. Looks good now although a bit greener than the rest of the grass, but that's a job for another day.

Great for kids and shaded areas grow
Grass seed that will be suitable for kids and yet having a nice finish when mowing. Very thick, it seems to out grow the weeds and the moss that was there before using this product to over seed my front and back lawn. Well recommended for that type of application for sure, id imagine it to be excellent for seeding a new lawn also. Also it must be noted that this seemed to grow in the shaded spots that where essentially bald spots on my lawn, not they are lush green.I've used many grass seeds in my life time.

Poor germination
I did test pots and only got around 10% germanation at best. The image shows another brand with 30% rye. This image is at about 2 weeks. No more seeds germinated after what you see in the image. I also used it for overseeding and didnt notice any change after. I have purchased the A1 lawn pltinum pro (without rye) since and have seen amazing germination after 7 days. I would go with that if you want better germonation and also far nicer looking grass with a more fine / dense structure and also darker colouring. I'm avoiding Barenbrug after this and sticking to A1 lawn for the fine fescue and Germinal for ultra fine rye. These are the best places to go for the highest rated cultivars and germination rates.
