... after the day my grandmothers small Chunky dog leapt like a gazelle out of the driver side door and ...
I ordered two of these to keep handy in two cars after the day my grandmothers small Chunky dog leapt like a gazelle out of the driver side door and dashed across a busy road to say hello to a Labrador. Thankfully all cars stopped very quickly whilst I recovered from my heart attack and wobble legged across the road to retrieve him. I relayed this story at work, still looking faintly green a day later and this was recommended. It is utterly worth its weight in gold as it clips firmly to his harness and then into the seat belt holder and keeps him securely inside my car until I, the grown up in this situation, decide to release him. The second one I gave to my mum so she could learn from that terrifying experience without having to go through that agony herself. You will note that my grandmother doesn't need one because we are her slaves!!

Keeps the pooch in back of the car safely and securely!
As per the title and picture i have this for helping to keep our hyperactive cockapoo in place on the back seat of the car, as well as provide some protection should we ever need it in the case of an accident.- This is 3rd belt of this type we have purchased, we have one in each of our cars and a spare for if anyone else takes the dog out.- Its a simple set up, find the right seatbelt anchor on the chain, slot that into the seatbelt in your car, use the clip at the other end to attach to your dogs lead or harness.- The belt is adjustable and the range is just right for our dog in the cars we use however am sure it would fit much smaller dogs and still offer the same protection and security as well as large dogs too.- It doesnt get twisted or contort around the dog when in use which was a worry, i think this is partially due to the swivel action on the lead but also the dog isnt uncomfortable so doesnt pull or twist when secured in.- Hopefully we will never need to explore the effectiveness of the seatbelt in a crash but for the purpose of making sure she stays in the rear of the car when driving its just perfect. We have had this for three months now with no issues, no tears, breaks or damage and a happy dog.Five Stars.

Driving made safer with dogs
During the coronavirus pandemic I have driven so infrequently that I have become a nervous driver. Obviously my dog wanted to step up but was unsure on how to do so safely. This dog seatbelt has allowed my Pug to drive me to and from Tesco on essential food runs in the knowledge that if her paw was to slip on the wheel she’d be safe. It’s opened up a whole new range of walking destinations for us since she’s been driving us (safely and securely) to the beach, the woods and once on a trip to Stone Henge. She picked up her flea treatment at the vets the other day and as I waved her off I felt complete satisfaction that, thanks to this product, her journey would be safe. My dog and I love our Dog Seatbelt.

SO Useful but quite small
FANTASTIC! Got this for my Shih Tzu who comes in the car everywhere with me. Any bigger dog and it wouldn't be long enough. It's quite short. She can just about but easily circle the seat with this on her harness and, if done correctly, doesn't get tangled up! But she normally does. But it wouldn't happen if it was longer becuase it would just slip of her back or she would step over it. Don't recommend for anything bigger than a Shih Tzu

Perfect for small or medium dogs.
I have three of these for my dogs so that they can all sit on the back seat of my car together. They are used regularly for car journeys and holiday trips, and after three years there is still no sign of wear or tear on them so I am very pleased. These would likely not be suitable for larger dogs, but for my three (two cavaliers and a chihuahua) they are perfect. I have also used one for a Staffy I dogsat, and it was fine, but I would not use it for my parents' Golden Retriever. Also, I would not recommend using this product with a collar, only with a suitable harness.

Great product, the perfect option.
This is FANTASTIC! I bought a dog guard to stop my girl jumping over but I hated it, apart from being a nightmare to construct I don't like driving with it as it restricts my view and my dog still wants to get to the back seat. With this instantly she became calm and well behaved in the car.She car sit on the back seat, she has room to move a little so not restricted but not dangerous so cant get near me when I am driving. She loves to look at the world out of all windows and now sits nicely.Great product and so much cheaper than the alternatives. When I was buying it I was concerned about it fitting so just to let you know it fits a 2009 Astra fine, I think most attachments are similar.

Slit my thumb open trying to get my Staffie cross out of the car.
These are an absolute godsend in theory -- just not this particular brand! My Staffie cross managed to get herself a little bit tangled in the rear of the car due to being a nervous passenger. However, my problem is the fact I managed to slit my thumb open when unclipping her from the clasp - the metal is not worn down, it is sharp, and it has cut me so much I bled on the car seat while valiantly trying to get my pup out of the car.Buy one - safety first - but don't buy from this brand.

Great product
Have purchased three of these now as I loved the first one so much. Keeps dog secure and safe in car. All I would suggest is to make it a little smaller in the length it can go as my dog is on the small side and the length on the smallest grip it only just is short enough to mean that she doesn’t end up on the floor of the car if she decides to move around. However have three now so this is not a major problem.
