Panasonic SC-HTB488EBK Wireless Soundbar with Subwoofer and Bluetooth Wireless Technology

I was undecided on whether to buy this for a while (compared to a few others that were similar priced), but decided I needed it as my new Panasonic TV didn't have great speakers......and I'm so glad I took the plunge! The sub is so impressive and the sound quality has improved no end. I find the 'Cinema' setting works best all-round (Gaming and films). I trialled it with Avengers Assemble and it didn't disappoint :D I have my setup in a large front room with very high ceilings and it fills the room easily. Great value for money too, especially when you consider it works with other devices when wanting to play music. One very happy customer!

This soundbar is a replacement for the one I bought with my Samsung TV a couple of years ago, I was never happy with it. Both had a sub woofer, but this Panasonic soundbar is excellent. The difference is quite noticeable, particularly with the sub woofer. There are a few preset sound settings which subtly allow more voice or music to be heard. It was very easy and straightforward to set up, I used the HDMI (arc) cable connection from the TV to the soundbar rather than an optical cable, but whatever is your preference. I also like the way it switches on and off with the TV on/off, not sure if that works with every TV. Yes, well pleased with this purchase.

The media could not be loaded. Despite the one major issues of not knowing what the volume is on the sound bar at a given time, I will keep it because I like the sound.Positives:1. Size: not too big and fit easily on my desk leaving plenty of room for other things.2. Sound quality, for the price it’s very loud and powerful3. Voice clarity – all my footage is clear and loud4. Auto shut off after about 10 mins of inactivity5. Easy to set up – took me 5 mins once I had the optical cable6. Relatively light sub-woofer compared to my old speaker systemNegatives:1. No way to tell what the volume or sub-woofer levels are – very bad in my opinion2. Remote is small and doesn’t use normal batteries3. The lack of customisation – you can’t select a customer profile – you can only select the ones on the system, these are in the picture

This really has exceeded all expectations. Recently moved house and didnt want to reinstall the 5.1 system so took a punt on this unit, paired it up with a rubbish Sharp TV with SkyQ as the primary source. The sound quality for TV and Film is excellent, deep bass clear vocals. Volume control is all done through HDMI-CEC with Audio input through HDMI ARC. Bluetooth connectivity is relatively simple and doesn't sound terrible, haven't tested Bluetooth audio past the first day's testing. This review is at a purchase price of £150 but i think i'd be happy at the £170 it is now.Only watchout is the Sub does take a little positioning to avoid it sounding boomy but this wasn't difficult in our room.

Music sounds good but the singers voices sound muted, will to use it on other settings. Later: I read somewhere that speakers need 'running in', that they sound better after 20 or so hours of use. It seems to be true, the speakers seem better now.

Amazing the sound quality is heavy!! so so goodIt has taken watching the telly in our house to a new level!Am yet to try it out on the blue tooth from phone or laptop but sure will be fine as the quality from the tv is completely amazing.The only down side is the supplier would not send it to Guernsey so had to pay £40 ton get it posted myself from England. I only went ahead with this as I got t half price so was still a bargain. So having amazon prime did. to benefit me at all with this.

Very dissatisfied with this product as now only the toslink optical is working on it after a few months of use. However it does have a nice powerful subwoofer and good fidelity. Also when I mirror cast from my Sony Xperia XZ Premium mobile phone 📱 sound will only come out of the TV 📺 speaker. I'm most upset about the Bluetooth functionality as I really would like to link my phone 📱 or tablet to it but it doesn't work anymore! The remote control's IR is not that good either as it doesn't beam that well and I have to hold it right up at a side angle to get it to work.

i wanted a panasonic unit as all my other equipment is panasonic and they have been great quality and reliability this sound bar is great for the money if i could have afforded the dolby atmos version i would have done but this is good sound sound and so easy to set up
