Legit optic but needs better mount options
Let me start by saying within 2 nights of use i smoked 4 coyotes in the swampy forests of south carolina which is a hard place to hunt coyote for anyone who doesnt know… they have lots of places to hide and 99% of the time they see you befoee you have a chance to see them. This optic allows me to see at least out to 75 yds on x1 zoom and on x8 id say well out to 250yds. The built in IR illuminator is awesome and has a built in sensor for auto lighting or you can switch it to manual. It also has a dial for controlling flood and spill. The reason I gave it 4 stars was because of the mounting options on a bump helmet. It comes with a dual bridge made of plastic that actually seems pretty sturdy and even has a port to hook up an external battery pack… but its freaking bayonet style mount which sucks! Would much rather have the option for dovetail and if they come out with a bridge with that option i will gladly change my review to 5 stars. Overall thats a tiny issue for what this optic really is.

Great Night Vision for Specific Application.
This digital night vision device is best used as a "clip on" device. Utilizing the rifle mount. Having the ability to pair it with your favorite magnified optic bypasses the small viewing screen and let's you see in the dark with no adjustment necessary to your zero. That being said, if you are going to try and use this on a helmet setup then be fore warned the field of view up close and depth perception is not that great. Navigation in open spaces is a maybe. This device is absolutely bomb proof construction so you ain't gonna break it but it was designed primarily for hunting hogs and coyotes. Not for doing "cool guy" ops in your house. So if you're an avid hunter of pigs, coyotes, or other game legal to be harvested after dark then this setup is absolutely what you want. Only thing that could make it better would be if it could mount to a Wilcox flip to side mount.

Field of view is super narrow.
It’s like looking through a tiny window. For 400 more you can look at getting used Gen 2+ night vision that will work better than this. And you’ll actually be able to move around with it on.

Very versatile little unit
Wraith MonocularI have had this unit for over two years now, and it’s become a regular part of my night hunting equipment. One thing I was worried about is the rigidity of the unit. It’s not very large and from the exterior it has a generally calm look to it. During a hunt, I accidentally knocked the mount on my helmet loose and the whole thing fell straight to the gravel road. I was pleased to find only some scrapes on it. That’s a 6 foot plus drop and it’s good to go. The picture is clear, you can run it on a helmet mount as a single or if you have two, a double set. It’s very affordable, and can be used as a handheld. I liked it so much I purchased a second one. One stays mounted on my helmet, the other I use hand held. Definitely recommend this unit.

Save your money
Save your money if your gonna spend this much money you should just save to buy real night vision instead. Digital night vision isn't really worth your time and definitely not for $699 if you really want digital night vision to just play with go buy a nightfox unit for $299 instead
