I really wanted to like this
bought this to cook food on my layovers, i’m a flight attendant, and i’m really disappointed at the lack of range this product has. the cooking settings are essentially all the exact same and they’re all very hot…with the exception of the “keep warm” option. there’s no option for medium heat which is very frustrating!!! this is great if you need to boil water or keep microwaved food warmbut there really should be a sauté function or just a lower heat option. pretty much every single time I use this for rice or ramen the pot boils over and makes a huge mess. also the cord is very short which can make cooking in hotels difficult.

Good but takes a while
I bought this thinking it would be a good way to get a quick meal without the mess. The product is a good idea however it take really long to heat up and doesn't get hot enough. Because it's not that hot everything takes double the time to make.

As a truck driver, all three meals are basically in the car at work. With this small pot, you can eat fresh food. I have been bringing meals for a few days before, but they are not very fresh after being stored in the refrigerator for a few days. ! I've already recommended it to my truck colleagues and it's really handy!

Cooks fast and handy when you don't have enough burners available.
This is a cute electric pot and lid that is a perfect size to cook one or two servings. I made a pot of soup for my husband and me and a full pot made two generous servings. The pot heats up in almost no time at all. I seared the vegetables first and they cooked quickly, and I felt that the pot did a good job of maintaining a consistent temperature. Then I added stock and chopped chicken and set the pot to the soup setting. The default time setting is 1.5, which I assume is 1.5 hours. That’s a reasonable time to cook soup but the downside is that the pot cooks very hot. I can change the time setting but I can’t change the temperature, so my soup was bubbling away. I am accustomed to a long slow simmer when I cook soup. Even removing the lid did nothing to lower the intensity with which the soup was boiling. I was forced to keep stirring to make sure the bottom didn’t burn. I learned the hard way that the power cuts off when the temperature reaches 365F. Luckily, I noticed, because suddenly the soup wasn’t noisily boiling, causing me to check the pot.The non-stick finish is excellent – and necessary because you must be super careful about cleaning this pot. Initially, I thought the white liner was removable, but it is a permanent part of the pot. The outside of the pot cannot get wet, so you must carefully wipe out the inside with a little soapy water and then carefully rinse. Another downside, on my pot, anyway, is that some of the numbers – the 2, 3, 4, and 7 – on the display do not fully light up, but it’s easy enough to figure out but the other numbers.I think using the pot is a learning curve and the instructions leave a bit to be desired, but the bottom line is that I got a little pot of soup finished in about a half hour and it tasted very good. I think the pot will come in handy on holidays when places on the stove are at a premium. I think it could also work nicely to cook something and then keep it warm, like a hot appetizer, a pot of beans, turkey gravy, etc. Also, because it sears so well – and the sear setting is the one that you can have a choice of 5 temperatures – it would probably be great for preparing eggs or a slice of French toast. I’ll experiment. For instance, I might try using the sear setting (AKA Hot Pot) with its 5 heat settings for soup, instead of the soup setting. I like that the pot has little feet on the bottom, and I can cook with it on the counter without having to lay something down to protect the countertop. I also like that the handle of the pot doesn’t get hot.
