Okay...so I am relatively new to woodworking, but I have always appreciated good tools, and I can tell you that this tool has been a tremendous addition to my panoply of great tools! I am making a Prie Dieux / Prayer Kneeler for my daughter, and I have had to do some joinery to accomplish this task. Though this is my first time using dowels for woodworking (I told you I was new to it!), my project was greatly simplified by this product! First, I used it to make a jig, and then I used the jig to shallowly drill holes, and then I went back to this tool and used it (lining it up with the shallowly-drilled holes at the end of my board) to drill the deeper and perfectly-centered and straight holes I needed for my dowels. It worked perfectly! Additionally, the instructions were relatively well written and easy to understand! I would definitely purchase again, or if I knew anyone was getting into woodworking, I would give it to him or her as a gift! Awesome product! :-)

This is really high quality and easy to set up and use. I like that you can clamp it down tight so it won't shift around when you start to drill.

Not great but a lot better than expected for the price. They could have done a lot better job centering it, it was not even close to being centered. I had to adjust the calibration nut (the nut under the two allen screws) close to one full turn CCW to center it but it’s within .002” now.

Really impressed with this jig. Currently building a toy box without screws, this jig has done me right on my joinery. Absolutely would buy again

This is a very well built and sturdy jig. Perfect for daily use over and over again. Easy to set up and use.

Works well

I gave it three stars mostly because I used it for the project that I bought it for. This Blekoo doweling jig was barely good enough to use for the utility bookcase I made using the lowest grade lumber. It's also inconsistent. Sometimes hole was centered . . . . sometimes not. Sometimes the holes in each board would line up perfectly . . . . sometimes not. Because of these issues your project boards will not glue up perfectly aligned so you have to get out the big sander and go to work.

I often use dowels in my woodworking, but I didn't realize that dowel jigs existed until I stumbled upon the tool by accident. This tool is fantastic, easy to line up and attach to the small sides of two by fours and the ends of studs. The tool opens to about two inches and clamps well. It comes with a couple of different sized drill inserts that allow for multiple sized dowels or predrilled holes for bolting. If you use dowels or need accurate predrilled holes for screws and bolts, this tool is essential. It is well made and a great value. I highly recommend this tool to any woodworker.
