Works great
Really good quality camera for graphics so much better then my old stock one. Even has the lines that turn with the wheel. It was pretty straight forward on how to install and can either use license plate bracket or its own. Had plenty of cable length and seems very durable and love the field of view it provides

Great Camera Beware of LED tag lights
This camera is everything the add says easy to install. I started with another camera that had the whole tag frame it was nicely made but I had to modify it to get camera wire out of frame to get it into the car. After all the time I spent getting it ready to install because of the wire not run the right way it didn't even work of course because it's new out of box a lot of time was lost checking for the problem. Ordered The eRapta From Amazon it got here quick nice package had everything you need for install I unblocked it plugged it into my wire that went to other camera same type hook ups mainly to make sure the video cable was not the problem it worked perfect so saved time rerunning wires again just pulled broke camera's wire back through the talegate of car and pulled the new eRapta wire back through the talegate and plugged it into the wire going to front of car to stereo it works perfect great picture, the parking lines everything works perfect only problem was my after market tag light ended up using longer bolts and spacers and put it between camera and tag works great and looks great and night vision works great and camera quality great very sensitive you see steam from tailpipe the only thing is if you have LED tag lights you may have to do something to block light from camera because of it being so sensitive. I'm going to put one on truck in a couple of weeks and I'll let you know in that review if tag light causes the same problem. Thank you and God bless.

Great simple, affordable and reliable backup camera
I have bought and used three of these eRapta backup cameras over the last 4 years, and I have to say that I am very satisfied with them. All three have worked without any issues. I installed them, hooked them up to my reverse lights and car stereos, and they just worked as intended. They have worked in all driving conditions too such as heavy rain, snow, extreme heat and high winds. I also liked that they were relatively simple to install. I liked that you simply mounted them over your license plate. Connecting them to your reverse lights or car stereo can be chore though depending on the vehicle. On some cars, it's not difficult at all though. There are really only two criticisms I have about these cameras. First, the picture quality isn't the best as it's standard definition (SD) resolution. Could it be better? Of course. However, the quality has been good enough for me. I can always tell what I am looking at when I am backing up my car. The visibility at night is also surprisingly very good. So, the low resolution isn't a big deal. The second critique is that the camera calibration (exposure, contrast, saturation, color balance etc.) seems to vary quite a lot. All three of my cameras have totally different color profiles. One is very saturated, another is very dull and unsaturated, and the third has very high contrast. I don't know why this is the case other than the manufacturer doesn't have standards for camera calibration before they ship and sell them which honestly isn't surprising considering it's a cheap Chinese product. It doesn't really affect the performance of the camera, but it might indicate a lack of good quality control on the manufacturer's part. Overall though, I have been very happy with these cameras, They were relatively easy to install, work as intended, work in all weather and driving conditions, and have lasted me 4 years so far with no issues. All this at a very affordable price too. I can't complain.

Great quality camera for the unreal price.
Great addition to my car. Came with everything needed and wire was long enough to reach the front and then some. I was prepared to pay up to $200 for a name brand back up camera and then have it installed at Best buy for another $130 service installation. I mean, I was absolutely going to do it. I started watching a couple of videos on Youtube on how to do it and I went for it. Honestly the most time consuming part was just running the cable through the car and taking off panels to hide the cable and make it look professional and pretty. Just look up your car model and find out where your reverse light power cable is at. Connect both red wires together with a splicing clamp and ground the black cable. Depending on your car model you might have to drill a hole to run the cable in from the outside to the inside of you vehicle. Run the cable through the the inside of the cars panels. Obviously figure out how to remove them so you can hide the cable as you move towards the radio dash. Your aftermarket radio should support a rear camera. There is already a place to connect the yellow wire to labeled “rear camera”. just hook it up and test that it displays a video feed and thats it. You should probably get some black zip ties and electric tape. Honestly, installing it myself cost me about $30 TOTAL. Yes it took some time (2:30) because it was my first time. Doing this on my own gave me the confidence to install a front facing camera. So now i have both installed and the front camera was only $12! front facing camera name brand would have been another $140 plus installation at best buy would have been another $130 dollars. I just saved $600 on something that I knew I WAS going to get for a total of $34 for 2 cameras!!!!!!!!!! Lol. Sorry but i’m pretty happy with myself. Anyway great camera and get it. Update: May 8, 2020. Moisture and water has leaked into the camera lens. Display on screen is completely blurry. It hasn’t even rained that much or heavy in Chicago. Just happened sometime last night because it wasn’t like that yesterday. Also 4 of the 6 led lights went out on their own. There’s no warranty so I’ll have to buy the same one or something similar that can easily connect.

On a tight budget, Ok camera, might buy a different brand soon
So the video from the camera is ok, Nothing spectacular. Will probably buy a different brand as I did not read many reviews, And did not understand what I wad getting. After buying my new head unit for my 2007 cobalt I am in a really tight budget and this cam fit the bill. Pros. Camera picture is ok Build feels ok Con. Need a big hole to fish though the trunk. No supplied grommet. Supplied video wire was thin, Like really really thin. Lights are not ir and just led lights Guides are not very accurate (vs head units adjustable guides) So I wired this thing up to my pioneer avhw4500nex today. First I ran the supplied video cable the way the directions stated. Fired up my head unit, no picture... Checked all the connections, they were tight, Checked head unit settings, all parameters were good. Turns out using my multimeter I found that the rca cable was defective. A trip up to the attic to do some shopping from all the old cables I keep did the trick. Made an rca cable the perfect length, and tapped cam into reverse lights. Fired up the head unit, distortion the the pic not bad but it was still there (I'm probably just being picky). Second I had to run leads to the trunk for power as powering with the reverse light gave distortion. Not a problem, but now those led lights stay on when my car is on. I'm sure I can fix that. Third my head unit does a better job at supplying the guide lines that I can adjust or turn on and off so I'll be disabling the cams onboard guides if I can. Fourth no grommet supplied. To keep as little wire outside of the vehicle I had to drill a hole in the trunk. Not a big deal would have been nice if there was a supplied grommet. Just used gasket maker. So all in all it works, if the cable wad not damaged I would have gave it 4 stars. The camera does what it states it will do. The rest of the issues i could have avoided if i read reviews. Next purchase will be with ir lighting for night as a also want the cam to run when not in reverse, Then I can use it when ever I want and still have the head unit audio switch to the cam in reverse. I'm not sure how long it will last as the wire to the cam is just as thin as the defective rca cable.

Nice augment to older vehicles
A nice product that works well in older vehicles without reverse cameras. Design is elegant and well thought out. Bracket hides nicely behind license plate looks clean and almost factory. I purchased this reverse camera for my daughter's 2010 Honda Civic. She already had an aftermarket head end unit in the vehicle (a Dual XDCPA10BT) with a screen so I did not need a screen. The camera itself came nicely boxed with most of what was needed for the install except tools etc. The install took me about 3 hours but I am fastidious and wanted to done correctly. The cable from the camera to the head end unit was plenty long enough for our small sedan. I did need to adjust the camera downwards by bending the bracket a little then reinstalling over the license plate. Picture quality is adequate although not high definition by any means. I soldered all connections and was careful with my wire routing. I did need to drill a hole in the trunk lid to route the cable from the camera through to the inside of the boot but sealed the hole with silicon once the cable was routed properly. If you install this camera like I did you will need: Pliers, wire stripper, soldering iron flux and solder, heat shrink tubing, electrical tape and or some small zip ties of various lengths, plastic trim (pry) tools and a working knowledge of how to get to the back of your front end unit (Stereo) as well as procedure for removing trim panels from the front of the car all the way to the trunk or tail gate (in order to rout the cable). Not a difficult job just takes time. Consult youtube for what others have done. I would recommend this camera to others. 4 stars because it is good, I seldom give 5 star ratings, has to be pretty much perfect to get 5 from me. Full disclosure: Just installed today so have no idea on longevity or true function (if it helps my daughter back up more easily). Opinion/suggestion. The "night vision" of the camera is enhanced by the LEDs around the camera but largely dependent on the vehicle's reverse lights. I have owned many many cars in my life and without exception, all have had anemic reverse lights! I would recommend upgrading your reverse lights to brighter ones if possible. Check output/lumens/candle power compared to factory bulbs for your vehicle and remember LEDs are not always the solution. Osram, Sylvania and Phillips all make very bright halogen bulbs that will serve you well. Good luck.

Genial
