Got it to use with Motoscan app (android only) for my bmw k1200r. This is a great, must have tool for any bmw bike owner. I connected it to my Mustang and it works too. I just had to get a bmw adapter for 10 pin to OBS port.

Great pair with MotoScan for all BMW motorcycles…. Phenomenal piece of tool!!

Works as advertised

Works awesome on my 2019 BMW R1250GS Adventure along with the Motoscan app. It was exactly what I needed for performing diagnostics on my bike.

I had just had my 2023 BMW F850GSA’s initial 600 mile service. A new year rolled over and the service lamp came on. These services are quite expensive. Instead of getting another service or go to the BMW Motorcycle dealer to reset it for a nominal fee, I purchased the BODAC scanner and reset the maintenance notification for less than the cost of having BMW doing it for me. I will still have them service my motorcycle when it is due, just not traveling to pay them to reset my maintenance notification. Great purchase to me.

Had it for a couple months. Worked fine then, now, will not work at all.

If you don't have an Android phone then you will need to go buy a cheap one at Wallyworld, set it up, download the app and purchase the diagnostic features you want. A bit of a learning curve depending on how tech savvy you are. Once I figured it out I was able to rest the service light and new mileage numbers for the next oil change. After all that I still had less than $200 involved. I'm sure much less than only one trip to the dealer and I'm good for all remaining oil changes in the future. Charge your buddies a beer to rest their bikes lights or check error codes!!
