I came across this when I was looking for a product that was not made in China this thing is fantastic it's actually approved by the five eyes organization because it's not made in China it's the international body of governments that do not work with China including Canada Mexico United States Europe UK something like that I don't know All I know is that it's a fantastic camera and it's really reliable and it's components are obviously well built.Every time I turn it on it turns on and like the other ones that I used to buy that were made in China and were hit and miss and half the time when I needed to see what was going on they didn't load this one loads every time perfectlyThe software isn't perfect of course it's a little finicky when it comes to searching for previous recorded events because as you let go of the screen it sometimes slides a little bit which makes it a bit difficult but that's the only complaint that I could possibly come up with.

I bought the new Spotcam BCW1 because my old Spotcam Sense broke and when I was looking for a successor I came across the Business line and the BCW1 (indoor/outdoor camera). The technical data and above all the price convinced me:1. 2k video resolution H.264 (2304 x 1296)2. IP66 waterproof7. free cloud service for 24 hoursHere is my practice report:The camera arrived well packaged a week before the delivery date. The package contained the camera, a power adapter, an antenna, a connector for the waterproof ethernet cable connector, as well as a quick start guide and stickers for video surveillance.The camera feels robust and has a nice design, the color white also looks good on our house wall and is not so noticeable. The bracket is stable and can be tilted and rotated, making it ideal for all mounting options.Installation:The installation was very easy: connect the camera to the power supply and turn on the antenna, the camera now beeps and is ready for installation. Then open the spotcam app (I already had it) and click on “create a new spotcam”. Then select "business camera" and then the "BCW1". Then select your own wifi network (2.4GHz) and enter the password. A message appears that the signal tones are now muted (was the case with me) and within a minute you get the first picture - done!You then have the option of making a variety of settings, e.g.: change the camera name, set HD resolution to "on", image quality to "high", night vision to "automatic", switch on the spotlight (if "motion is detected" in night mode or " when a human is detected" or "always on" or "always off"). In the lighting mode, you can set the spotlight as a permanent mode or as a flashing light. The settings when sending an alarm are also diverse, here you have many options (movement, audio, person detection and much more). I have set the NVR plan to 24 hours (1-day recording forever free), alternatively a micro SD card can be used.The well-known features of other Spotcams are also on board again:- Snapshot, video recording- visual search- time search- storage of film excerpts in the cloud, which you can easily download- two-way audio- motion mask function- micro SD card (up to 128GB)Conclusion:I've now tested the camera for 10 days and I'm thrilled! No disconnections whatsoever, fast-forwarding and rewinding in the free cloud service without any problems, the image quality is top and the audio transmission is significantly better and clearer than with "normal" spot cams. A great bit of kit. Compact & lightweight. Easy to install and set up. It can take some tweaking to get the alert settings right and ensure you aren’t inundated with unnecessary email alerts or not receiving any at all. However, this is very quick and easy to do on the app or website. Very good value for money.

I ordered two of these, one a few months ago and it worked well (better than the more expensive SpotCam) so this time to be sure I got the same one I clicked « buy again » and this time it came with the wrong cord!
