Great leads. .3mm is very small, but they are as strong for their size as the Pentel .5mm I also have. A tip for mechanical pencils. These are 2B the Pentels I have are 4B--they wear down a little quicker, but you'll never run out of leads. However 2B and 4B are very dark, the usual H and #2 leads that come with mechanical pencils are just too faint. There's no problem erasing this darker lead. (I always use these on standardized tests, they color in the bubbles just fine and for essays the writing is darker and easier for examiners to read-- I'm sure they appreciate that....)

I do like my sports-pens and sports-pencils... these work perfectly in my Pilot Airblanc 0.3. You'd expect such soft, thin leads to break and/or smear, but these are terrific. I use them mostly for sketching, tracing, and drafting; I'm delighted with how well they "strength and deep and smooth." Or perhaps I should say: how strong the leads are, how dark a line they produce, and how they glide effortlessly over paper. They're great.

Ok these are awesome, I just did a review for the 0.5mm as well, and I have to say UNI brand is the best I have tried so far for drawing with. These are so much stronger and less apt to break then my beloved paper mate leads. The lines can get so much darker with the uni leads, that it really is amazing that they come from such thin lead. These are very smooth and lovely to sketch with.

A bit too soft for my taste. Love the darkness, but too soft compared to the standard UNI "B". I'd say many people will love its softness. Not too smooth (as in the sloppy smooth) is a plus.

I normally buy Pentel's boxed leads but they haven't stocked those in forever. These work just as good and are smooth leads! They don't break since they are 2B leads and you don't have to put too much pressure on them.

Very smooth and consistant.

I love these 2B leads, the deep graphite coverage is smooth and durable than regular HB leads. It can create more smudges but still my favorite lead type.
