18.21 Man Made Elixir 13 Men's Styling and Thickening Treatment for Hair, Original Sweet Tobacco Volumizing Leave-on, 3.4oz

I've been using18.21 products for almost 4 years and bought this product the day it came out. Smells fantastic and really goes a long way before replacing. It's additional boost to my daily grooming routine right out of the shower.

Probably his for short hair. Super, super hold.

So this does seem to volume up the hair as advertised. Its a very thin, clear liquid and goes through the hair very easily with no visible residue. It did seem to stiffen the hair a bit after application (this may be related to the 'styling' claims but it wasn't strong enough to hold a particular shape); I ran a comb through it and that seems to break the lock and then the hair was soft with no product flaking. I do think this runs a bit expensive for what it is even with the current coupon. I will say however that even though the bottle is a bit on the smaller side you only need small amounts of the product so I think it will last a while. The smell is a lot. I'm not sure what I was expecting as this was my first tobacco scented product but it turns out I'm not a fan. I'm a former smoker so that may play into it; I honestly found it a bit off-putting. It smells like a sweet/cherry cigar with a heavy focus on the tobacco aspect. If you like that type of scent then you'll love it as its very strong. The scent does seem to fade after a while, that or you go nose blind to it, and I didn't notice it after a few hours. Would I recommend? Yes, but only if you are fan of the scent and are willing to pay extra for the chance to smell like a cigar shop.

My husband loves this scent- It's the only one he'll wear! It smells like honey, and there's a tobacco scent and the combination is just very masculine. This is strongly scented. When he uses it, he does not have to use the cologne that night. It's easy to use - just a spray and he works it into his hair after he washes it. It does volumize his hair and it doesn't make it still or sticky. His hair still feels natural but it looks thicker. His hairs a great white and it doesn't yellow it.

I gave this to my son to try without realizing that it is supposed to also help with hair regrowth. He still has a nice full head of hair and didn't see any additional growth, though it would be tough to determine on him. He seemed to enjoy using this product. And said that it left a cool/clean feel to his scalp and a pleasant scent that could be smelled even after it dried. It did a good job of styling his hair and said he didn't need to use a lot to accomplish that. It's a bit expensive unless it really does help with regrowth which would make it an excellent value.

This Elixir 13 is a good styling product. It makes your hair behave every morning without fail. I can't say I have seen any hair-thickening effect though. The spray nozzle is very precise and nice to use. On top of that, I love the sweet tobacco scent. As other comments mentioned, it is quite strong, but it doesn't smell cheap. The dark glass bottle and package also have a somewhat luxurious feel, so it would be an excellent present for someone in your life who cares about their hair. The only complaint is that the bottle is quite small (3.4FL OZ / 100ml). This makes it a pricy product. Made in the USA

This is one of those items I was skeptical of I wasn't exactly sure what Sweet Tobacco was or if I'd like the smell and for a 35+ dollar product you kinda want to be sure. I was happy after I tried the product that it smelled like the same tonic my barber uses. I go to a Barbershop and get a regular men's haircut some new barbers don't even know what that is, short parted to the side, but not military short and they shave your neck then they put some tonic on your hair and white powdery stuff on your neck. I used to get a shave, but mostly that's a thing of the past. This product doesn't make your hair sticky and stiff like Brylcream and it makes your hair stay in place . I don't really have thin hair so I can't really address that. My only complaint is the price it seems expensive, but hey if you have the cash go for it if you think 35+ is too much it's understandable. I don't think I could afford it on a regular basis, but I'd be totally happy to get it as a gift.
