Okay product, not sure it works for me
By the looks of it, this thing seems to function okay as a portable battery. I also really like that there is a carabiner that comes with this.I have a couple of issues that I'm grappling with, though:1) Charging seems to stop at 3rd of 4 lights...which leads to one of two conclusions: either the 4th LED is broken, or this does not charge past 75%. Not good in either case.2) While the manual does state that the solar panel is not meant to be a primary source of power, I really cannot tell if the solar panel is doing any charging whatsoever. I discharged enough of the battery to get down to 2 lights, then left this product in the sun for 2 days. I wasn't expecting this to get a full charge, but I did expect it to get back to 3 LEDs. Instead, it stayed at 2 LEDs. It'll be hard to take this backpacking if it can't (or barely) recharge the battery.I'm going to play around with it for a few more days...but if I can't figure out any of the above issues (assuming they can actually be figured out), then I'll probably end up returning this item.

Great product!
Honestly, I was a bit skeptical that this wasn't going to be good enough, because in the past, I have used many other so called solar battery banks and have had no positive feedback to provide, unless you charge the bank overnight using a wall outlet. I might say it's a great power bank. This ELEMENTO one is totally different!First of all it comes pre charged so you can use it straight out of the box.It also comes with a 3way charging cord for ANY device. While it definitely takes several days if not a week to fully charge the battery using only solar power, the fact is, it actually works without having to charge via wall outlet. The battery capacity is 5-6 times that of an average cell phone, so essentially you are charging up 5 batteries at a time, not just 1. You should expect it to take a lot longer than just your standard cell phone battery. The LED flashlight is surprisingly strong! I’ve used it to crawl under my house for work and it was perfect for that job.I would definitely recommend it to family, friends, and anyone I meet that has a use for portable solar power for their cell phone or any other device.Bottom line - don’t be tempted by lower prices or unrealistic promises from other brands…This product is the REAL DEAL !!!

I had a previous solar charger that was pretty well useless
Update.... hubby used this in an airport yesterday. It kept his phone going the entire time. His plane was late. He said its not the anchor but it did a great job keeping me going. Because it is so portable, waterproof, etc hes keeping it due to its durability.I purchased this to replace both a charger and an expensive flashlight. It arrives today and I will let you know what I think. I am leaving for a cruise on a ship with few charging outlets. I will have a whole day ATVing away from any charging source, scuba diving, etc. and BTW I ride a Harley. Need a flashlight and was going to replace the flashlight that was stolen and got two of these for about the same price. If it does all it says it will I will let you know, I promise. I have a jbl speaker that doubles as a charger, and an anker I use for a charger and now this solar one. I had a previous solar charger that was pretty well useless. Solar and waterproof is a must. Clipping to the outside of a backpack and if it gets wet, it needs to last. I RV, I'm a martial artist and the durability will be tested. See you on the other side of my trip and will let you know... Well I am back... and i am not impressed. If the seller wants to explain how to fix this I am IN. but I have dropped my rating... and this is why...The charger will not continuously charge. I have ONLY relied on the cable to fully charge it. and when fully charged, it cuts off. I cannot fall asleep and expect a fully charged device in the morning. Do you have any idea how fire-aware the cruises are? It is there only concern and they will drive you nuts to enter your room daily... soooooooo...... I had to pull my extension cord DAILY when I left the room... I could only charge my stuff on the plug at night and they HATE that. I charged this device daily and it was fully charged from a plug but when I plug any device into this charger, it starts to charge then cuts out. my husband was frustrated on the cruise. After listening to him, I charged with my Anchor at night. Not waterproof, not solar, but EXTREMELY reliable. I might discharge a charger while charging devices. That is to be expected, I RELY on having fully charged devices after charging and they do not with this device. the flashlight and emergency light are great, and I will keep this charger but not rely on it. I bought a CHARGER. but it is an unreliable charger unless I am babysitting it and constantly turning it back on to continuously charge. I only charged one device at a time and the charge was very slow. My anchor charges multiple devices completely even when I am charging multiple devices. Typically I charge an iPad, a Samsung S8+ and a Bluetooth headset. I have to rotate them out. Only two charging ports and I need three cables. I do love the cable that came with this. It is compact and I carried it with me the whole time. I can live without my laptop when necessary, but the others I use constantly. So not impressed based on my experience. If I am broken down on my Harley in the middle of no-where, I do hope this device saves my \buttocks... If it does, I will update further... until then.. NOT IMPRESSED with this device and I recommend you get an Anchor. The best one you can afford and just keep it charged until you need it because it WILL work and it lasts and lasts like the energizer bunny. Not waterproof and not solar, but it lasts and last and will continuously charge until it runs out of juice, which is has not yet and I have had it for two years. I used it at my bedside while on the cruise. I could NOT use the ELEMENTO. It kept turning off while i was charging. SO FRUSTRATING!!!!!!

Five Stars for Functionality....Two stars for design.
Used this portable charger on a 6 day, 500 mile camping trip and it was great! (Affixed it to my bike trailer so it received maximum sunlight. Would have given it 5 stars but the waterproof rubber gasket protecting the main USB port broke off the 2nd day I used it. Fortunately, I found the gasket and can push it back on the charger to protect the port...BUT....I am constantly fearful that this little rubber piece will get lost since it no longer attached to the charger. And it I lose it, the waterproof feature of this device is no more!

Super powered indestructible
So I bought one for myself on a deal of the day at Amazon had some issues with it and Elemento replaced it lickety split the replacement was absconded by my daughter so I ordered another one these things are awesome, on a full charge it recharged my LG G6 4 times and still had juice to go I definitely recommend these if you are looking for a portable power pack for your phone or tablet it's also got a really cool flashlight feature that's super bright and also has a flashing attention-getting feature I haven't tried the solar but I think that's just 4 Backwoods or emergency anyway it's great have a nice day

Does not charge my android!
When I first bought this charger I thought it was the best and it looked so durable. Then I took it camping a couple of times. I tried to use it to charge my phone overnight however it kept shutting off and the phone only got a 10% chargethat night. I kept turning it back on to charge my phone, and it kept turning back off even though it had a full charge from the outlet the day before. I am not happy with this product as I once was.
