This is my 3rd baseball machine from their brand. Each one has unique attributes, so I am able to use them in different ways at practice. This machine runs on D batteries, or if you have a power station it makes this truly portable. It uses special Furlihong lightweight, sting free balls; it will not work with other dimpled balls or baseballs; luckily they've included a few. Additional Furlihong Pitching Machines & their brand specific balls are all available on Amazon; as is the portable power station I have. This machine pops balls at different heights and speeds, this is great when I'm training my younger ones on pop flies (less intimidating because of the lightweight balls), or setting it next to them to soft toss a ball when they are batting. it's a nice transition from using a tee to hitting on their own.
