Carbona > oxiclean
Wow!! I thought I ruined my hat for good 😭 After hand washing it with cold water, soap, and a toothbrush, the red dye transferred onto the white fabric while it dried. I initially tried OxiClean and a stain remover, and it looked better at first, but somehow looked even worse as it dried. It took SO little of this product to fix it! I used about a teaspoon of the product with maybe a tablespoon of cold water and applied it only to the affected area instead of soaking the whole hat. I let it sit for just a few minutes and literally watched the pink dye lift!! My hat doesn’t specify the fabric, but it feels like cotton or possibly a cotton blend. I seriously thought it was ruined. Thank you!!!

Worked alright
It worked a little bit. Not perfect. The pink still showed up a little bit on the white fabric. But I definitely saw improvement so OK.

Be very careful when you do the colorfast test!
I tried this product on 6 items: my son's new pair of green pajamas and 2 white onesies that a red garment had bled all over; and a sweater and top of mine that had mysterious dark markings on them and thus had been sitting in the back of my closet for awhile. I mixed up a small batch of the remover per the box's instructions to test for colorfastness of the garments first. Actually I used a little more water than instructed, but I feel like it was still a super-strong solution-- even though I tried to test an "inconspicuous" area of the garments, it quickly spread and left big bleached out spots on all of them (except for the white onesies of course). Then figuring I had nothing more to lose, I dumped the cup of solution into a sink full of water, and put the clothes in there. The red was removed from the onesies instantly, as well as from the pajamas, though the bleached out spot from the colorfast test remained. My top and sweater both turned weird colors all over, and the markings stayed put, so I threw them out...I hadn't been wearing them for awhile anyway due to the color runs on them, so I wasn't too torn up about it. In conclusion, this product works, but I had mixed results because my garments were obviously not "colorfast." It works on whites, though I'm not sure it's a much gentler alternative to bleach (you must wear gloves while using!) I would recommend trying it only if you'd be okay not being able to wear the clothes again.

This product works!!
All I can say is WOW!!! My son washed a few of his white shirts with his new red shirts. The outcome, bright pink shirts! We tried OxyClean, bleach with Dawn, re washing twice in hot water, nothing worked. Someone suggested Carbona and honestly I doubted it would work but after less than a minute of soaking I could see the pink vanishing. All the shirts were restored to white and my son could not be more pleased. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

For Color Transfer, It Works Perfectly!!
I used this product for the first time to remove blue dye transfer from a pair of jeans that stained my white hoodie in the washing machine. At first, I was honestly very impressed because the stains disappeared almost immediately in the hot water solution. However, when I took the hoodie out of the bucket and started rinsing it with cold water, the blue color came back instantly and the hoodie looked stained all over again. I had to repeat the whole process using a second box of the product. The second time, instead of rinsing with cold water, I used warm water first. Some light blue areas still tried to come back during rinsing, so I placed the wet hoodie back into the same solution again, and the stains disappeared once more. After that, I rinsed carefully with warm water, then washed the hoodie in the washing machine with regular detergent and fabric softener. In the end, the hoodie came out looking clean again and the product really saved it. The only downside for me is that the product has a pretty strong smell, and even after washing the hoodie, I can still notice it a little bit. Hopefully it will disappear after another wash. Overall, the product worked very well and saved a white hoodie that I thought was ruined.

They call me the Laundryman.
This product worked really well to remove red dye that bled into white cotton gloves. Using 2 soakings the gloves were white again, except for traces of pink in the seams of the fingers which I deemed ok-enough. Yes, people bring tough laundry challenges and this was one of them but the Laundryman does it again!

Sadly I tired.
Did not work for the level of pink/red that was stuck in my whites. Was very hopeful as I have loved carbona stain devils and they’ve worked for me for everything before.

Effective product but be careful with how you apply
Yes, it worked in removing cor run on other fabrics but it can also blotch clothes if too much is added on the clothes that don't run.

Useless product - false promises
Useless product. It decolored my entire pink dress (some areas were pink and other half turned brown). Tried on 3 different dresses and all got decolored instead of removing the stain. Best thing - you can't return the product and your dress is also gone!

Works 1% time
Researched a lot before purchasing. Did the patch test, Followed instructions. Result? Ruined two of my favorite dresses. Conclusion: Seems to be best for taking pink that has ran from red into whites. Terrible with everything else. Bleached an orange into a yellow and blues barely shifted, so didn't get rid of the blue run off from a black garment. Advice? Only risk with pink bleed off and with something you don't care if it is ruined. Also, forget the patch test. Useless. Dunk it for mere seconds if you have used a concentrated dose and immediately rinse in freezing water over and over and then toss in washing machine with cold water rinse.-- Wish I had tried other methods first. Hope this prevents the ruination of one of your favorites.
