Great Book for Everyone
I love this book. It is written at a pace that keeps you reading. The plot continues to surprise all the way to the gripping conclusion. I can't wait for the sequel. This is also an excellent book for the preteen and teen reader. I would recommend it to anyone.

Not the show
I enjoyed the book, it's a fun story. I felt somethings in the story were left out and you just had to guess what was going on. The back story on who people were and why they were at places was left out. The ending didn't really wrap things up like I'd like to have seen it do, but still worth a fun read. So I saw this author and this book was wrapped up in a lawsuit with a popular streaming show. I enjoyed the show so I thought I'd read the book. This book is really nothing like the show. This story is a mix up of so many books, shows and movies told a dozen times over in things like Goonies, Scooby-Doo, or the Hardy Boys.

Good fun read for all ages
Fun book with a interesting story! It has a feel like The Hardy Boys mixed with National Treasure! Good fun read for all ages and leaves it open for a sequel that I will be waiting on.

Needs help
Good story, but you seriously need an editor. The spelling and grammar are atrocious. Regarding your claim and lawsuit against the producers of the series Outer Banks, you have no case. The series is about a treasure hunt for 400 million dollars of gold and bears no resemblance to your story. There are hundreds of stories about treasure hunting in the Outer Banks, are you going to sue them all? Are you really an English teacher??

Great read!
Great read! Interesting characters and plot. Loved that it took place in North Carolina. I am hopeful that a second book is in the works with these characters!

Interesting But Poorly Written
The book actually held my interest; however, the editor, if there actually was one, should have been fired. Example: when they were exploring the cave, they used a "minors" lamp, not a miners lamp... that's a pretty big mistake. There were other mistakes that should have been caught, but the minors lamp was the big one. The author should have consulted an authority on caves prior to writing about an important part of the book. Lastly, the ending was abrupt and left you hanging. A side observation, this author is in dispute with the writers of the TV series "The Outer banks" ... I watched the series and read the book... There's absolutely nothing to dispute.

Fun fantasy quick read.
I enjoyed the story since I have roots in the area and have heard much of the folklore of Blackbeard the pirate. I felt the writing was rather juvenile and would be more appropriate for a young adult. But it was light, fun reading.
