I had my last kipling backpack for 12 years! Used it for school and college. It was time for a new one for my huge laptop, pencil cases, notebook, snacks, chargers, etc. Fits everything and more! The cushion is great so that it doesnt hurt my shoulders. Fabric is super easy to clean and it lasts forever. It has two water bottle spaces which is great as i always has water in one hand and coffee in my other hand

This backpack is amazing for school, the style suits any outfit if that’s your main worry such as color or size i would recommend the smaller option if the bag will be used for short trips, while this bag is meant for school or traveling. The value for money on this bag pretty decent and could last up to a few years without any rips depending on what you put in;i tend to put 2 bags one for essentials such as band aids,aquaphor, etc meanwhile the other bag has things for retouching my makeup! i also have 5-8 notebooks and folders and a pencil case and such more! the color goes with anything the strap length itself is pretty decent which could be adjusted to your liking such as a regular backpack making its carry ability extremely comfortable and has a variety of pockets that you could add whatever you tend to need!

My absolute favorite backpack for the last 10 years. I'm not exaggerating when I say I refuse to spend money on anything else after I was gifted my very first bag 10 yrs ago. The quality is top tier, it is durable, withstand heavy loads, water resistant. Very convenient for traveling as a personal item since it has enough compartments for ample storage so you can keep everything organized. My most favorite features is the orangutan, my spirit animal.

I have owned a bag of this brand. It's gone everywhere, including overseas, and work, gym, grocery shopping etc. It is so light when empty but so sturdy. I bought this one because it is slightly bigger. It was only available in dark blue at a lesser price instead of black. Not disappointed the blue color is exactly as shown, deep and almost black. Some blues can be tacky especially when carried with different colored coats or jacket. Great purchase. By far, this item is one of items I use the most besides my toothbrush/soap. Perfect for city folks. Really like the special slot in the back for a laptop so it does not require taking out everything at the airport. Also, being in the back it cannot be easily taken by a pi ckpocket.

I love this backpack. I’ve been using it for almost a year now and it’s still the same as when I first got it. Fits a lot of stuff, I’ve used it for both travelling and school. Fits about 3 (cold weather clothes) changes of clothes + shoes. Fits about 2 binders, 3 normal college-ruled pencils, 2 slightly thick books and a full Kipling’s 100-pen pencil case. Also fits my 32 oz Owala (not tightly but it won’t fall off!), glasses, calculator, pads pouch, wallet, Apple chargers, snacks… It’s water AND grease proof. The tech sleeve fits my iPad Air 5 perfectly and has kept it really safe. The second back pocket fits an A3 folder almost fully. It gets a bit heavy but it’s manageable.

I love Kipling bags and it is the only name brand bag I buy. So I'm familiar with the quality of these. I received the XL backpack that seems authentic, but it isn't like in the photo. I've attached photos of my bag. The first big thing I noticed: there's no zippered laptop compartment in the back as shown. There is a small zipper on the top with a super-tiny pocket (think wallet, phone, passport or plane tickets... maybe not all depending on your phone and wallet size). There is an open pocket inside with some padding, however. But not easy access to the laptop, so I don't know how this is advertised as a laptop bag. Maybe it was a redesign because there's complaints about the zipper breaking? I can see that this will be stronger in the long run not having a zipper near the back straps. There is an additional unpadded pocket in the main compartment as well that isn't shown in the advertisement photos at all. Mine is beige where the photos show blue and no extra layers. The other difference is the pen/accessory pocket sewn in the front large compartment is also different than shown on my bag... Mine has one big pocket toward the back of the bag and a place for pens. No padded pocket up there nor a pocket on the front flap. Finally, the bottom corners are without lining like I expect from Kipling bags - so it is not reinforced precisely where backpacks usually get holes. There is lining on the bottom, but it doesn't extend all the ways to the corners. It seems odd and may shorten the life of the bag. It also diminishes protection of contents if anything hits the bottom corners. This is designed for clothes in the main compartment, not school books or binders with pointy corners. I'm not sure if I got a fake bag. The barcode had black lines through it, but the bag seems unused otherwise. The rubber monkey keychain is the same as with other bags. I'll give it a try as the size and weight are what I need (it should be perfect as a Spirit or Frontier personal item), but I will report back if the laptop is hard to access in transit. I am not using it to carry binders or school books so the corner weakness may or may not be an issue. I'll try to report back. This will either be a redesign for the better (for travel and non-school use), or will be a pain through TSA and trying to work on the plane.
