I was not sure what to expect but I already get the impression that the ideas in this book come from someone who has their feet on the ground in terms of seeing and managing real-life clients/patients. Her approach for me will actually work as it is based on seeing hundreds of clients and thousands of hours of clinical experience, not just the theory. It is written in an accessible way and I am fascinated by the metabolic types. Lots to delve into and recipes are just great too.

You have to buy this book!
Me and my husband are 50 and we have tried everything to loose weight but nothing worked. We have always considered ourselves as eating healthy and we exercise but still we couldn't lose any weight. Came across this book on audible and it's changed our lives, not only have we lost weight and feel great we have had lots of health benefits too, too many to list! Now we continue to do the 80/20 suggested as we never want to put the weight back on, we have learnt so much about food and stay away from processed foods, thanks very much Pippa for everything! I’m excited!
I originally came across Pippas work on instagram and saw that she had been working in nutrition for many years. I have hormone imbalances and I was so excited to see that this book looks into this and the best foods for my type. I love that the book has a questionnaire at the beginning to get to know ‘my type’ and the recipes at the back look delicious. I’m looking forward to being part of the online community too as I think it’s so important to have support from people on similar journeys when trying to get healthier! The book is clear, easy to read and is obviously backed up with years of experience and practice! So excited to get going!

A good book but..
When completing the Metabolic Types, I scored high on 3, making it difficult to choose which one to follow, however some information was really helpful, still pleased I purchased it.

Brilliant Book
I stumbled across Pippa on Instagram and took a leap of faith and bought the book, having struggled for years with extra menopausal weight.Although after taking the quiz I couldn't quite see which group I fitted into, the recipes in the book generally cover most types so I chose the ones that covered all types and I was away. The recipes are tasty and the whole family can eat them.I bought the book in January and mid March I am a stone lighter. I am completely over the moon with something that works and I feel so much better and finally back in control. I recommended the book to my sister, she took the plunge and is astounded that it's worked for her too. We are both beyond delighted. Thank you Pippa!

Not what I was expecting
Personally this book wasn’t what I really wanted. I enjoyed her Instagram posts but the book is really a diet book at its heart. I did find some interesting information but it’s basically a quiz and you find your type. So a large chunk of the book isn’t relevant only your bit. Then it’s recipes and diet advice. And the recipes tend to be expensive or not conducive for family life. So this might be exactly what you’re looking for but it wasn’t for me. I’m also not 100% in agreement with her philosophy either.

An easy & straight forward read. The 5 foundations are simple to follow - although chewing 30 times per mouthful has proved tricky at times!! I scored high on a couple of the metabolic types but followed your advice and went with the one with the issues I struggled with the most. 21 days later and not only do I feel so much better but I managed to lose a few kilos too. I also feel educated and informed to keep heading in the right direction. I also managed to get my husband to adapt his eating too.. he hasn't felt this good in a long time. Win win!

Very enlightening in terms of lifestyle; ie nutrition and supplements to use
I have been following Pippa on Instagram for many years and when she announced the publication of her first book I was very excited to pre-order it! I received it on 9th of January and have already read it once. It is very well and simply written, very clear and it changes one's perception about what changes we need to make in our lifestyle for longevity. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone who is interested in living a long and healthy life.
