Absolute trash used to be a good brand now not so much don't waste your time ...
Ok so I bought this because I broke my jaw and have allot of time to sit around first let me say I'm a 35 year old man and am not known to break things this lasted ONE DAY BEFORE A CAR STOPPED WORKING!! Easy to assemble but difficult to use
I bought this for Christmas for my kids as they are reaching an age for more advanced toys. as a former slot car fanatic I was excited to have one again in the house. These things have come a long way since I used to use them. The tracks assemble nicely and the instructions are fairly simple and straight forward. However, its the play it self that's is really problematic. You need speed to complete the loops and banks...however given such short track out of the box they will immediately fly off on the first turn. The governor must be removed to get enough speed for the loops and banks but needs to stay on to make any non banking turns. as a result, I had to remove all of the loops and banks to make the track work as intended. I find the cars a little lite and wonder if adding weight to the car may help. Anyway, the loops and banks sit in the box so that a car can make a complete loop . The turbo button and/or no governor is simply too strong for the amount of track given. maybe perfect for a drag race or straight track but ANY turn will send the car flying off.

Poor quality cars
We purchased this for a Christmas gift for our son. First let me tell you this set is very big! One review said to buy extra track... No don't. Second the cars fly off the track every single time we play with it. You are spending more time setting them back on the tracks we have yet to get them around the entire set. We haven't made it past the first curve. The cars are light plastic. The track itself is strong and sturdy. Doesn't do any good when the cars don't stay on it. Such a bummer! I am not happy with the set at all and Id return it if we had the box still.

DIRECTIONS ARE THE WORST DIRECTIONS EVER for EVER! - VERY POOR QUALITY
WOW! The directions for this product are HORRIBLE. Printed on recycled paper and printed on just 1 sheet instead of 4. These directions are bad. Save yourself the frustration - just buy another race track. To save money they combined parts in the box - D I and K have all been connected to stack in a smaller box and they all looked like C. It took 30 minutes to discover that D I and K were not C... The columns that support the track on the overpass do not fit into the track so use a book to elevate. The spacer B does not snap into place on the loop so use tape on the loops. If I paid $9 for this product I would still be upset at the horrible directions and fit. For $100 plus, it is absolutely not worth the price. WARNING - DIRECTIONS ARE HORRIBLE. WARNING FIT IS HORRIBLE.

Very finicky: fun if it works, but most of the time, it doesn't
I had a Carrera track set as a boy, ~35 years ago, and remember playing with it for hours at a time over probably a decade. It was always a bit of an act to set it up (it still is), but then it worked perfectly. This year, we gifted a Carrera Go DTM set to our son. The track set is really fun WHEN the cars go. However, there are 3-4 spots in the track where the cars randomly stop, making it a success whenever you manage to complete one or two rounds without getting stuck somewhere. We have followed all of the instructions (it is important to fan out the little metal contact pieces under the cars), but still, most of the time, my son gives up within 5 min of frustrations. We'll be returning ours, and won't consider a Carrera track set again until they dramatically improve their quality (or return e-Mails: a week has passed since I contacted customer support, and still no response).

Fantastic Fun
This set is really fun to play with the two loops, elevated ramp, and sharp turns. I was looking for a set that was fun and required problem-solving and some skill to master. This is it!! Be aware that this is a large set that requires a good sized space to set up.

A solid good time with kids involved
Easy to assemble and also change layout. 6 yr old grandson and I had a blast numerous times during his two week visit.There is a clear difference in speed between the two cars. Also the inside track on the banked turns has been problematic. Unless a bit of speed is carried through the corner, the car will stall as the brushes leave the track surface in the middle of the turn.

Favorite Gift.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Bought for my 6 year old granddaughter- and me. Set up was a bit slow to start but it goes together well. The instructions are basic but adequate for an adult. The governor on the controls are terrific. My granddaughter could stay on the track and absolutely loves it. As do all of the adults - who are now gaining speed w/o the governors. I left the loops out to begin with. The track goes together fine with both left out. I will add later once skill level improves.I love this set!
