I've had this X14 Pro teleprompter for a couple of weeks, and I'm mostly pleased with it. The holder for the text source is pretty big, so both phones and tablets fit. At first, I thought I'd need at least an iPad for the text to be big enough, but even my iPhone works fine. The mirror on it is also good; I haven't noticed any weird reflections in my recordings.But, there's a snag. The teleprompter comes with a dark hood to block out extra light around the camera lens. Getting that hood positioned so it doesn't block the lens is a real struggle. I've seen in other reviews that people are using battery grips to lift their cameras higher, which seems smart. But, nothing in the box helps with this, and there's zero info about needing something extra. I'm using a Canon R5 with a 50/1.8 lens, which is pretty short. A longer lens might make it easier.Set up isn't bad; it takes about five minutes. The teleprompter comes in a neat case with all the parts, so you can pack it away nicely. It even has a remote, but let me tell you, it's not super user-friendly. It does work well with the Neewer app, though, which is basic but gets the job done.All in all, I like the X14 Pro. But because of the mounting hassle, I'm gonna check out some other brands before I make my final choice.

The media could not be loaded. There is nothing worst than seeing someone sterring at piece of paper and reading it by looking in other direction other than camera lens, doesn't feel right and weird. There is reason why all TV stations, weather forecast stations using those teleprompters, it maintain eye contact with viewer on the other side and makes better connection so people can get message with attention.This teleprompter from NEEWER doesn brilliant job in providing equipment to do exact job. They well known for making amazing camera accessories and this time is no different. They presented well made example of telepromter which is definitely affordable and build with quality.It arrived in metal suitcase, since it has one-way mirror which you can see throught from camera side where is dark, it must be well protected, they usually much more expensive than normal mirror. Huge plus for neewer for taking care of fragile mirror with common sense. It reflects well from my ipad and you cannot see lens of camera from front at all, that's how it should be. Teleprompter have many mounting points, on both side threaded mount and cold shoe mount for accessories such an light, microphone, on back mount for camera itself with provided knob to lock it in place, on front place to locate tablet and secure it in place. This part actually failed a bit, part which should lock in place and hold tablet safe after tightening up still was moving and sliding which compromises tablet, easy to fix but shouldn't happened in first place.With telepromter they send remote control which connects with device via bluetooth and dedicated app for teleprompter. Remote have all necessary functions, all you need and anything else. Changing font size, speeding up or down displaying text, play/pause, ON/OFF and display to show status of connection. Very modern and sleek, like it a lot. It was tricky to set up tablet with proper orientation but after a minute i manage to have it all sorted, function in app to use mirror reflection on text if super helpful. Everything worked smoothly, no issue at all.Video recording from camera was crisp. Mirror didn't distort image, was still bright and same like it would record without mirror. Very happy with this teleprompter. Budget friendly which delivers results. All you need really.
