I'm always skeptical on these types of things and I don't very often leave reviews, but this thing actually works very well and saved me a lot of time. Also a lot safer than stripping with a knife. I don't think the hand crank would be a very good option but it is very easy to hook up a battery drill. I used a ty-wrap to control the trigger and turned it on and off by removing the battery. I'm very happy and definitely would recommend this time saving tool.

This does exactly what it's supposed to. Very impressive. The setup is the only downside, as you need to fine tune it for even slightly different gauges of wire. I chose this because the electronic wire strippers aren't an option at my recycle yard. The open blade without guides really doesn't work. You basically need the side guides to keep the wire tracking straight. The blade is very sharp, it cuts through the thickest and oldest tapes and insulation. I hope this brand will be around for years to come in the event I need replacement parts. The durability seems good so far.

I purchased a 2nd Coppermine wire stripping machine only because I thought that it was stolen when my work van was broken into. This machine can strip a wide variety of wire and cable, so it does have a bit of a learning curve to get it setup just right but once it is this machine will easily pay for itself. I highly recommend using a cordless drill to operate it rather than just the crank handle it's so much faster. I should have purchased one of these years ago when I was a electrical contractor and had alot more scrap wire.

Not even sure I set it up properly, but grabbed a 10ft piece of 2ga(THHN) which I find to be a major pain with the extra pvc coating, set drill on low, bam, like10secs no issues at all. Honestly probably would have went with a cheap china machine had it not been 26% off. I’d pay the full price after using it once. Will see how it holds up, but seems solid. Blades can be purchased off copperminetools web site, haven’t look on Amazon yet.

I stripped 1000's of feet of wire In a matter of hours. Being able to attach my drill took all the work out of it. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because I had a bit of trouble keeping the cutting wheel centered on the wire and it would get wedged off to one side. Still I would recommend this tool if you have a lot of wire to strip. Works great on the larger wire sizes.

Ok wire stripper

i stripped over 75 pounds of 14 guage stranded wire, it took awhile to get it dialed in but when i did it worked flawlessly. I stripped everything from 14g to welding cable without a problem, the 1000 kcm i stripped worked but you better get a good milwaukee electric drill because it will burn up your generic harbor freight cordless drill. Overall a very solid stripper, highly reccomend

Great for large caliber wires. Ripped through roughly 700lbs of 500MCM caliber wire in no time at all. Well worth the money and best bang for buck compared to other models (mainly because for the price it can handle larger wires where as most others for the price stop at 250MCM). I rarely write reviews but this one merited the five stars.

This gets 5 stars from us. Seems sturdy and hard wearing. Has sailed through everything we've needed to strip so far and we have tried some heavy industrial cable up to 680mm2 Definitely paid for itself anyway.

Incredible compact machine with a very sharp blade up for the task at hand!

have to set up so wheel is dead centre on drive gears then works like a charm, put a drill on it, full speed no problem
