Absolutely perfect for that steel frame doorway.
Works great for me. I'm 225 lbs and I crank out sets every morning without the bar moving or shifting from its original placement. I marked its location so I could visually see if it would loose its grip and position. Nope....!, not even a little bit. Very sturdy!

Beware!!
The bar itself is durable as a tank. May as well be used as a weapon for an apocalypse.Only gripes would be the explanation as to how to even set it up being absent or not as intuitive. But BEWARE considering buyers!! This product is built like a tank meaning it won’t break, doesn’t mean your walls WON’T!!!This bar will push outwards as though a car Jack. It will push dent and ram through your walls if your abode isn’t built with sturdy material. So before you decide to buy. See if there is even a good area that you can even secure it too. Door with wooden frames [X] it’ll splinter straight through it. Assumed metal frame but in actuality plaster and a thin metal frame [X] it’ll work for a couple days or week at most but at some point the thin metal frame will give and dent.So if you live in an apartment, unless you truly trust the foundation material used to build it. Try your luck.

Functional & Sturdy
Purchased solely to do dead hangs as I read an article regarding the benefits.Item arrives already assembled. I struggled with how to correctly install as I did not fully understand the provided. Now that the bar is in the door frame I only have to undo the 2 clasps and rotate the bar clockwise to tighten before each use.My door frame does not have molding which other styles of pull up bars are designed to use. This bar uses grip pressure inside the frame so the hand position is somewhat narrow. In summary, bar does function as pull-up bar when installed correctly. Never has slipped but I use to hang only as not yet strong enough to do a complete pull-up. 200lbs / 5'10".

Amazing
I am a 6'10, 300 ;b guy, and this thing does not squeak. it does not creak. Super sturdy. Very easy to install. I have seen people in other reviews say that the locking mechanism is flimsy and allows it to slip after the lock fails to prevent it from turning loose, but there is a simple solution: don't use it from the side that will cause you to looses it. Instead, use the side that would cause a slip to tighten it. Also, the slight hinge on the pads really helps it set tight as you apply your weight after you have twisted it as tight as you can. This is a superb product and I will be looking for other equipment from this brand.

Excellent investment
This pull up bar works so well. I go to school for computer engineering, so i decided to install it at the study center where my fellow classmates and I spend most of our time solving conceptual problems. Everyone enjoys using this pull up bar, daily, as it helps clear our mind and keep us in shape during school. It is very sturdy and strong, stays in place, and is very easy to set up. This is definitely worth the investment.

We’ll see
The first two times I installed it fell down. This time I tightened it til it couldn’t twist anymore. Before then I stopped because of the cracking sound I heard from my frame, but that eventually stopped. So, we’ll see if it sticks. I’ll update my review in about a month (I’m a beginner).

I really wanted this to be a great pullup bar.
First and foremost, I really wanted to like this pull-up bar; but I have to keep looking. Also note, I have very tall but narrow doorways in my very old home.Pros:- The materials of this pull-up bar are great, it is a solid product, which is why I'm giving it 2 stars.Cons:- Pain to set up.First, you have to twist each side A LOT to extend or retract the bar to the needed length; which will need to be just short of your door frame's length. Then, you move it into your desired position and extend until it grabs onto the frame, from there you keep twisting to extend it until you absolutely can no longer twist it anymore. After that, you step back and realize while extending it into place, it moved into an unlevel position and now you have to retract it and try to get it back into a level position. Once you have done this you once again have re-twisted it to the point you absolutely cant twist it anymore; make sure you give it a few good tugs to make sure it is nice a tight and can support your weight. You get down from your little step ladder and move it out of the way. Last, but not least, you jump up and grab onto the pull-up bar just to have it slide down the door frame taking you, the bar, and the paint with it.
