I was surprised when I changed my Kitchen Aid espresso machine's stock basket with this one. This basket offers a lot less resistance than your stock basket so it requires for you to grind finer to maintain the same pressure. The sweetness that resulted from the first shot I dialed in with the new basket was something I had never tasted before. It was as if I had added syrup to my espresso. It really shows that a good quality basket is a good way to spend your money if you are trying to improve the taste of your shots.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Affordable. Works.

I purchased this basket with great excitement, hoping it would enhance my coffee-making experience. Unfortunately, it has only given me headaches. As someone who has been making specialty coffee for over two years, I’ve tried many different tools and accessories, but I’ve never encountered such a frustrating issue before. I enjoy experimenting with new barista gear, which is why I decided to give this basket a try. However, after testing over 30 different cups of coffees—varying the bean varieties, grind sizes, doses (in grams), and tamping pressure—I consistently end up with terrible results. No matter what I adjust, the extraction is always off, leading to underwhelming or even undrinkable espresso. At this point, I can’t recommend this basket to anyone. If you’re serious about your coffee, save your money and invest in a better-quality basket. This one simply doesn’t deliver.

Avoid this at all costs. I was looking for a good precision basket but these with the nano quartz coating are not it. They cause channeling and your shot won't look nice because the nano quartz is water repellent. This prevents the "vortex"/"cone" from forming. Using a Pullman/VST basket now.

There is a spot that looks like a scratch to me.

i am extremely unimpressed with this basket. No matter what I do, I get channeling. Every shot, the coffee simply refuses to flow out of certain areas even though nothing is blocked. Grinding finer and all the puck prep in the world doesn't help. Reading online it seems the nanotech coating is the likely culprit. It does work great to knock the puck out cleanly, but what's the point if the shot won't extract properly? I'm also not sure how the coating will stand up to constant scratches from my VST tool (akin to metal utensils in a teflon pan). When I use the stock Gaggia basket, i get beautiful tiger striped shots with no channeling. I'm going to try a VST precision and see if that fixes my problem.

This basket is identical to the ECM basket made by IMS. I compared both baristapro and the E&B and found the E&B one is more consistent with the extraction.

Love it so much that Ive ordered two of these now so I can use both portafilters at the same time. The quality is fantastic, I'm really happy with the calibre of extractions I now get on my machine and my espresso is dreamy and smooth like honey. I find that I can grind finer with this basket over the stock one that came with my Lelit machine. I have tried a few others like the Big Bang but opted for this basket as it was my favourite, and will be for as long as I have them.

Fits my ascaso uno without issue, works with 58.5 distributor, tamper, and puck. Nano coating works extremely well and the pucks come out in one piece, no issues. Only problem I have is that I ordered an 18g basket but it feels more like a 20g. Like as soon as I put 18g or less there seems to be very little pressure build up and watery. So I need to put 19g or 20g, maybe even 21g, just to have consistently good shots.
