Ideal Blank Coins for Laser Engraving!
I recently purchased a set of 20 blank challenge coins, and I couldn't be happier with the results I achieved when laser engraving them. Here's why these coins are an absolute must for anyone looking to personalize their own challenge coins: Quality Material: The coins are crafted from high-quality metal that engraves beautifully. The metal is not too soft or too hard, making it just right for laser engraving, ensuring clean and precise markings. Consistent Size and Weight: Each coin in the set is uniform in size and weight, which is essential for achieving consistent results. It's evident that these coins were manufactured with precision. Smooth Surface: The surface of these coins is exceptionally smooth, allowing for detailed and intricate engravings. It's like a canvas waiting to be adorned with your custom design or message. Easy to Work With: These blank coins are a breeze to work with. They sit securely in the laser engraving machine and hold up well throughout the engraving process. I had no issues with warping or damage. Versatile Use: Whether you're creating custom challenge coins for personal use, gifts, or commemorating special events, these blank coins are versatile and can accommodate various designs and themes. Great Value: This set offers excellent value for the number of coins you receive. It's cost-effective, especially considering the high-quality material and finish. Endless Possibilities: The blank canvas of these coins opens the door to endless creative possibilities. You can personalize them for military units, clubs, businesses, or simply as keepsakes for special occasions. In conclusion, these blank challenge coins are a laser engraver's dream come true. They are designed with precision, provide a smooth surface for engraving, and are versatile for various customization purposes. If you're looking to create unique and personalized challenge coins, these blanks are the perfect foundation for your creative endeavors. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking to add a touch of customization and elegance to their projects!

Not suitable for engraving
I bought these blanks twice. About 6 months apart. The first batch was probably brass, but thinner. They were about 2.2mm thick. The second batch which was supposed to identical was not. They were about 2.8mm thick and they are brass plated. When you engrave a few hundreds of an inch down they are zink. They look terrible. You cannot use these for any serious engraving work. I bought 40 coins and I’m sending 20 of them back. Update: In the end I kept all 40 coins. When I began using the second box of blanks you can see they were of a different alloy. They were a brass alloy and not solid brass. You can see the difference in my photo. While once box might be useable for some applications neither are ideal. I ordered a similar, but slightly more expensive, set of 40 blanks from ComMarker. You can see one of their blanks being engraved in the video I supplied. You will note they do not “frost” when engraved. This is due to the fact they are solid brass and not an alloy. Being solid brass makes them far superior. Thes Yinkin coins reviewed are not suitable for challenge coin use. At best, they are only usable for practice pieces. The inconsistency in the type and quality of product being delivered is also quite troubling.

Perfect for Custom Engraving and Commemorative Keepsakes
I purchased these blank challenge coins to give out to competitors in our Western States Apprentice Competition, and they worked perfectly! One of our members used a laser engraver to emboss our logos on them, and the coins were incredibly easy to work with. The finish is of great quality, giving the final product a professional and polished look. They arrived on time and in excellent condition. These are an ideal choice for anyone looking to create personalized keepsakes or awards. Highly recommend for DIY engraving projects or commemorative gifts!

Could have been heavier.
They look great. But they are much thinner metal by almost a whole mm thinner than the last 100 coins I have bought in the past. And the delivery person never rang the door bell. I have a sign at the door and I have requested the bell to be rung when delivering my items.

No issues with laser engraving, great results
Made a few "challenge" coins with these so far and they've turned out really nice. Using a 60w JPT M7 MOPA Fiber laser. Setting are speed 2000, power 90%, frequency 30, pulse 200, 45 deg hatch, bidirectional, .02 lines, 8 degree rotation. I ran it for about an hour per side. Not sure how many passes. Cleanup pass to finish was 2000, 20%, 75 freq, everything else the same, just one pass. Some scotchbrite, brass black, and sunshine polishing cloth to complete. Only complaint: would like to try vitreous enamel but not sure how much zinc in this brass. Guess I'll just have to try and see what happens unless the manufacturer can share what series brass this is?

THESE ARE NOT BRASS COINS
These are not coins usable for deep engraving or embossing on a laser, they are zinc with a very thin layer of brass on the outside. On a standard layered 3d engrave it burned completely through the coin on regular settings by layer 70. not to mention the immense amount of zinc dust now in my filter and laser. These need to be advertised differently, they are not what they say they are. I've gotten better coins off of TEMU!
