However since I was having an impossible time getting the LP-E6NH for my R5 due to no one having them in stock at the time, I decided to buy a few different third-party batteries. I chose these because they had a USB C for charging and powering and boy was In for a pleasant surprise!All high-speed functions work in the R5 with these. Including being able to charge and power the R5 via an external battery pack that requires the latest battery telling me these are properly informing the R5 its an E6NH. I use them in a battery pack as well as in a single at times, and they work perfectly. They have not died off yet and seem to have the same life in video and interval shooting then the original LP-E6NH. However, i haven't had them that long so time will tell.But so far pretty happy with them. That and they cost a lot less :)the dookie brown color sucks but i like how they are different visually so i can tell them quickly apart from others.UPDATE A YEAR LATERAfter a year of hard use all my third-party batteries usually show signs of crapping out or not holding a charge like when i first got them. I happy to report of the 4 i have and i use them A LOT they are just as good as my OEM canon versions. I'll be getting more for sure. I still feel strange not getting Canon ones but with these having the USB port it makes me feel better knowing they actually have a feature the OEMs do not. I actually like the color as well so i can quickly grab and know i have E6NH versions. Great job you guys. In my trip to Norway this winter, Canon's original batteries refused to work in cold temperatures, but these brownish things worked like a charm. One less critical minus is that, when using with Canon EOS R5, you will encounter errors when recording videos for over 10 seconds.
