Could be deeper
Great value and looks good. Only issue is that the bread sticks out the top a little. If on its side can only hold 2 slices

Excellent for tiny bread, toasted very slowly and pallid
"Amazon's Choice" - won't fall for that one again.Inexpensive and cumbersome the slots are nowhere near deep enough to cover the area of even the average slice of bread.Set to number 6, as I like my toast dark brown, I also like toast ready within the average person's lifetime. With no tell tale teasing aroma of toast the lumbering monstrosity eventually teased me into thinking the job was done by 'ejecting' two partially warmed, pallid pieces of warmed bread. Not to be put off, I retried my request to the recalcitrant device. Grudgingly it resumed its task. As morning departed and noon approached I finally decided enough was enough and terminated the task with the 'cancel' button. The partly suntanned crispbreads, a mummified descendant of the original soft, thick sliced, fresh white bread, were too much of a challenge and found their way into the waste bin. Without a doubt this was of course a bonus as far as my expanding waistline is concerned, but a bitter disappointment to the unsatisfied taste buds.Having made the mistake of already destroying the original packaging, hence rendering 'return' an impossible dream, I at least had the childish pleasure of leaping up and down on it, in a most ungainly fashion, to form the useless device into a more manageable size for the dustbin.

Browning inconsistent
It toasts bread - but one setting can burn one slice, undercook another and everything inbetween. One is neve sure what to expect. Not as good as my previous well-known brand, more expensive brand that my husband managed to blow up. Its fine, if you don't mind having have to re-toast or scrape burnt bits off.

Lasted 5 months
It was a really good toaster, I used it everyday, and thought it was great for the price , however only lasted 5 months before it stopped working

Simple to use
Not really a four slice toaster. Works fine, simple to use, but the elements don't quite cover bread no matter what size conventional loaf you use. Yes you can get four slices in, but only if they are continental breakfast sized square bread; else the top or base of the slice doesn't brown. Best used for two long slices cut in half and dropped in sideways; or for a subway.
