My helmet does not darken, what am I doing wrong?

Check the settings and/or battery , if that doesn't fix it then you may need a new one . Mine works great.

Is it easy to replace the battery?

Easy to do and great directions but since it’s the type that lasts a long time and also has the ability to be charge by the sun I just put mine out back in the sun for say a couple of days and your good to go. As soon as you hit the weld the dim is in millisecond fast time. Amazing welders helmet and very comfortable even if using reading glasses.

Does it work for tig?

Yes it will work for tig and also mig and arc.
