Why Church Matters: Discovering Your Place in the Family of God

It’s Saturday afternoon as I finish this book. I am reminded of why I love my church, Bridge Church in Waukesha, WI and how I can’t wait to get there tomorrow. My Pastor and his wife are Servant Leaders as are my friends who attend there. I wish everyone would read this book and either appreciate their church or find one they can! I have always appreciated the sacrifices made by the founders of our church in providing a place for me to grow and I serve willingly to further that mission for the ones who will come after me!

Wonderful book to gain better understanding of just why the church is important to God and why we should respect and love the church as well. With so many, Christians and non Christians alike critical of the local Church this book is helpful in giving scripture and narrative for right thinking for Believers.

I would recommend this book to people who are having a hard time figuring out why should they go to church. They will find in this book various passages as to what to look for in a church. And how they can get to know God if they don't already know Him and how they can get to know Him in depth through his word.

This book is super helpful in redirecting perspective on what church is supposed to be and how you know you're in the right place or encourage you to get into the church. If you truly claim to follow God you need to be in a church, a good church. This book is a quick read that will encourage and motivate you to do that! Blessings. (I read it in two days)

A great read. Most of this you have probably heard. But have you taken it to heart? Committing to a local church provides you with endless opportunities to e Gods hands and feet. This book puts in into perspective.

I tend to read too fast, just get me to the point. This book slowed me down. Thank you for this book Pastor Harris. It is the fourth in a series that the Holy Spirit is taking me through. "Not a Fan" by Kyle Idleman, "Radical" by David Platt, and "Sacred Marriage" by Gary Thomas.

Great book on the importance of the local church. It needs to be preached to all, but especially to this younger generation! We can't take it so nonchalantly any more.

I have been in full time pastoral ministry since 1989. I have shared many of these ideas and concepts with people along the way. Joshua captures this most important subject in this easy to read book. I think every Christian would benefit from this instruction.

Great book on what the church means to Jesus and why we should be supporting our leaders and church great book full of wisdom and great Scripture

Really great book, really emphasizes the importance of a local church and why it is important to keep yourself involved in your local church. Takes the consumerism idea of what can my church do for me and makes you think of how you can help your church. Great read and had an excellent lesson with this book for my youth group!
