Very good overview of WW1. Good pictures enhance the writing.

Let's never have another World War again.

What at first seemed a huge volume to assimilate, became an exciting page-turner as I got into the extraordinary (and well illustrated) volume of military history. Fantastic well-drawn maps of the Western and Eastern fronts, where the various armies held or attacked the lines of battle, made this an excellent and clear treatise of WWi, not covered as completely in textbooks of world history. Received in excellent condition from the seller, and very timely delivery.

The book is the best review of the facts surrounding the beginning as well as the undertaking of The Great War also known as World War I. The pictures alone make the book oustanding, but the objectiveness of the way the material was handled make this book a must read for historical buffs and those desiring to know everything about this war. No type of mistake is covered up and no hero, including Alvin York is overlooked. The coverage of the officers from that day who became the next war's generals is superb.

I read this book many years ago and its amazing that many of the worlds problems today started with the boundaries made for country's after WW I and later on WW II.

Everything you want to know about WW1 is in this book. From the Politics, battles, Leaders, Maps and SGT. YORK are all in here. A very good informative book. What makes this even greater is the pictures of the war that brings you in to understand the horrors that the soldiers went through in this war to end all wars.
