Underrated series.
One of the reasons why I've shied away from mangas recently is that they tend to bastardize ideas from other successful series. Also, I was never really comfortable with how ethnocentric mangas are towards Americans (and vice versa). Peepo Choo really made me believe that there might be some good original ideas out there still and that there is hope for understanding between cultures. The book has fun artwork and great pacing. I wish there was more books like these.

Peepo Choo 2 - fun and crazy as the first
the quality of the actual book isn't as good as the first. Peepo Choo 2 doesn't have any color graphics and the paper it's printed on is of lower quality.BUT the story is still as fast paced and wacky as the first. The story comes together a little more and there are a few more laughs. The 2nd installment definitely reads like a middle piece; it's a bridge between the first novel and whatever the third will be like.I enjoyed it thoroughly!

Just as good as the first!
Once again, Felipe Smith delivers the laughs, as well as some interesting insight into the differences between Japanese and American culture.
