These are just 'ok', and do the job of holding your reading place, but, they are too stiff.My favorite is the leather book-bone that is softer and flexible - it has the weights on both sides and does the job well.

I was a little disappointing in the weight of the book paper weights. I'm sure the description gave the weight, but when I got them, they seemed a little slight. Craftsmanship was excellent. I ended up not giving them as Christmas gifts.

The quality of the book weight was not what I was expecting, it seems like they were trying to make it look like more known brands in their photos, but when I received it definitely is not the same. The biggest problem for me is that the weights at the ends have little to no actual weight. When I use a book weight, I don’t want to have to manage it, I just want to lay it down and read. With this book weight I would need to adjust it and be mindful of it instead of just reading, which is why I’m giving it only one star.

This book weight is beautifully crafted. It is in fact leather, the stitching and binding are perfect. It has one flaw - the weight. It is too lightweight to hold pages down, unless you want to break the spine every time you turn a page. The bottom is so smooth that it will slide off any page if the book is not perfectly level. Considering the quality of the item, this is really a shame. I suppose you could use it as a book mark.

I had a bookmark that looked like these that someone gifted me. Lost it at some point, but I must've had it for more than ten years. It would actually hold a large book open on the page where I stopped reading. These, on the other hand, are lightweight and wouldn't hold a leaflet open. They are not at all what I expected. Waste of money.

At times I have more than one book open at a time and have had to use my stapler and tape dispenser. These weighted book marker things certainly suit the purpose and are effective.

These are attractive, and I had hoped to give them as gifts. However, they are very lightweight and don't hold the book open. I had to return them.

These do not work as you might hope. Though the description says "weighted", they are not. Usually an item like this would have metal shot of some type sewn in the ends, making them heavy enough to keep your book open - these do not. I think it's some kind of a plastic ball stitched in the end. Whatever it is, it's too light to do the job. Do not buy. I returned these.
