just laughs at adverse conditions
Great all-arounder, has a garden hose thread right out of the pump for easy hose attachment, also deals well with debris and leaves and algae. We tried one that runs 24/7 for a koi pond waterfall and it ran for more than a year running full time before it got noisy, so I replaced it with another new one. Very quiet under water. Simple for emptying rain barrels. I just used one to clean our pool. Can't beat it at the price.

Powerful
This pump is so strong the hose tries to whip.Drained my 500 gal. hot tube in about 25 minutes.I thought that was pretty fast. Any faster and youwould have a discharge issue.

Needs monitoring -- no auto shut off
I have a Little Giant pool cover pump that works well so I chose this submersible pump for emptying my pool for repairs. Is very sturdy and handled constant running well. As others have mentioned, this pump DOES NOT HAVE A FLOAT and DOES NOT SHUT OFF AUTOMATICALLY when it pumps the water level down. As such, it could overheat if not monitored. Keep an eye on it and this pump is dependable, well made and a good choice. Additionally, Little Giant has excellent customer service and is very responsive
