I questioned how I would like these while assembling. But they look great on the sides of our bed at our tiny cabin. I like that I can have additional items under them - currently wastebaskets. Was SUPER HAPPY that my CPAP fit perfectly on the shelf. We will be drilling a small hole towards the back of the shelf to access plugs in w/o having cords having over the front edge. I didn't paint or varnish, but I am going to bring some varnish the next time to the cabin so that I can put a finish on the top so as not to get coffee stains, etc. My only negative is that some of the pilot holes did not seem to match - best suggestion with drawer slides is to line them up to the outer edge of panels and that will help to not have to readjust later.

Very pleased. Except for the back and drawer bottom the wood is good quality and solid. I stained the top. I sanded with 80, 120, and 180 grit. Then I used a wood conditioner before staining with a gel stain and overall it came out great. Very pleased. I think if I had spent more time sanding it would be perfect. I will paint the rest dark blue. Perfect size. I don't want to attach to the wall so I got some 12 inch hairpin legs. I like unfinished so I can do what I want. Overall these are a great value for the money. I might cut new pieces for the back and drawer bottoms out of thin plywood. I pulled apart the rest of the box and looked at the instructions. Usually they are very basic with just step by step pictures on assembling. However, they have excellent instructions on staining and painting. Highly recommend those. Also, when staining a softwood I really recommend not skipping the wood conditioner and I have started using gel stains. I stopped trying to stain anything because on pine it always came out blotchy because it soaks up the liquid stain unevenly. Am renovating a house where baseboards, trim, and stair rails were stained but previous owner painted over them with a dark rust flat paint so I looked at a lot of videos on youtube and made tests on scrap wood before I found the wood conditioner and gel stain. I usually want it a deeper color so I put on a thicker coat and am done with one coat. Then wait and wipe.

These are beautiful and solid, though I wouldn't recommend they be used to hold much weight if they are installed into the wall. I keep only a small lamp on each one. Appreciate the option to paint or refinish them as needed. Good product for the price.

I am absolutely stoked! Dood wood cabinets, really nice wood, easy to assemble. I put a top coat to add extra protection. For this price it's a steal deal! One of the best purchases on Amazon ever.

I purchased this product to replace a traditional nightstand as I had purchased a trundle bed and didn't have floor space (small room 8' x 9) to pull it out with the traditional nightstand. I could have moved the nightstand out of the room but then we wouldn't have the lamp and other items kept on the nightstand. I was pleased to find this product. It's sturdy, attractive, well-made solid wood product. I'm pleased with the build except one minor issue. The mounting easily could have been better engineered with a French cleat vs mounting screws (thru the back board - behind the drawer) all while balancing the nightstand. With a French cleat the leveled cleat could be installed first on the wall and then the nightstand sat atop of the cleat -- easy peasy. If it cost the manufacturer a small amount to design it that way I believe customers would appreciate that simplicity & ease of hanging a heavy wall mount item. Note: I decided to use my own heavy duty wall anchors as those supplied didn't meet my approval but may have been sufficient. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product.

This is smaller than a regular bedside table. I believe it may be for a kid's room. It's made well and sturdy but, just too short for adults. So, I painted it pink for my granddaughter and it looks super nice in her 3-year old bedroom ; )

I love this nightstand. I'm going to put a clear varnish over it because I love the light wood color for my room, but you could stain it if you wanted. It's just right for beside my bed and holds all the things I use at night. It's perfect! There ar no charging ports, but that's ok. I would say if the maker wanted to add anything, it would be a port for charging. Otherwise, nothing needs to be done.

LOVE these nightstands. So easy to put together, quality materials, easy to sand and stain quick, put together and mount. Perfect size and the drawer and shelf are great for storage - my CPAP loves its little cubby :) Great purchase overall (we even customized our pulls) and very happy with it!

Beautiful kit. Good directions. Recommend sanding well with 220 paper, using the wood conditioner and then stain and varnish. We added legs to make a cute table.
