48" Low Profile Ceiling Fan with Light, Indoor & Outdoor Ceiling Fan with 10-Speed Quiet DC Motor, Smart Ceiling Fan Controlled by APP, Remote, Google Home, Alexa and Siri Shortcut, Modern Ceiling Fan

After 20 years I had to replace two low-profile fans the stopped working. The height of my porch requires low profile fans. I quickly learned that affordable, damp-rated, low-profile fans with a light are extremely hard to find.Pros: The fan looks beautiful (like an expensive high-end unit), it produces more breeze than my old low -profile fans (low profile fans usually don’t perform as well as standard drop down ceiling fans), the speed of the fan and the white light (warm vs cool) have nearly infinite settings, and the price is very competitive versus other damp-rated fans with lights. It is also relatively easy to install.Cons: There are just two issues that prevented me from rating this item with 5 stars. First, the remote controls require you to be within 4-5 feed of the unit to work (I have two fans, meaning I have to get out my chair to control the second fan). This would not be as much of a problem if the fan remembered your settings when turn the wall switch on and off like my indoor ceiling fans. The fan will default to a bright light (helpful during installation but not great for everyday use) when you turn on the wall switch. If the remote were stronger or the fan remembered the light and fan speed setting this would be a 5-star rating.Using ALEXA to control the fan helps mitigate the weak remote control issue, but the fan app could use improvement. The out-of-the box commands are basic (even after I updated the software). To dim the lights or set a fan speed using your voice you will need to program custom scenes and special voice commands or use the remote. There are no manual controls on this fan. For me these two issues are a minor inconvenience, but it could be a challenge for owners with less technological skills.I still strongly recommend this fan despite these minor issues. I was somewhat aware of these issues prior to the purchase because I found similar statements in other customer reviews.

Looks good, performs well but the remote doesn't always send button inputs to the fan. Otherwise it was fair at $150

This is a Tuya-based device, so you can connect it using the Tuya Smart Things app instead of the Carro Home app, and then use the Tuya integration in Home Assistant. Unfortunately it looks like the Home Assistant integration only recognizes the warm LEDs, the Tuya/Carro apps treat the warm and cool LED sets as separate lights. Home Assistant can't toggle the cool LED set, so if you want to turn it on and off with automations, you're stuck with warm only. (Not a fault of this product, in any way! The native app works fine.)

We have purchased other fans that claim to be quiet. This one is! It was easy to install and accepts Alexa commands. Didn't need balancing and the light provides many colors at many levels. We're happy

The button press works 2 times out of ten. So sad because i really liked this fan. Now have to return it
