They last and work well
I've used these for a year, and the first one is very durable, it lathers well and rinses cleanly. These will last a long time if you take care of it, and are good for scrubbing 95% of dish messes. For the price, how long it lasts, and the fact that it's compostable is a win/win. I'd say as good as or better than any plastic brush I've used - so you might as well use one that won't end up in a landfill.

Great!
Just purchased this for my kitchen and I love it already, I was looking for something more natural in comparison to a regular sponge. These do the Job!

Nicely made green alternative to plastic scrubbers, but molds.
This seems like a very well made, sturdy item. It also cleans nicely. I have a ceramic pan that is not as non-stick as claimed. When I use a plastic scrubber to clean it, after it is washed and dried, I often find some leftover eggs stuck to the pan, so I try to pre-soak it a bit before scrubbing. Using the brush, I don't have to pre-soak and everything comes off the first time. I did notice afterwards, however, that some egg had splashed onto my shirt, so you do have to be careful because brush bristles tend to spring back into place and can splash water or fling food particles. It is a bit more difficult to clean utensils compared to a plastic scrubber, as you have to scrape a few times to make sure you get every spot. Since I run the water a bit, that means more water use, which is a bit annoying since we are in a drought. However, I can do a workaround by using the water that is sitting in a pan or other container to clean the utensils while scrubbing it with the brush.I was happy to find these since I was about to run out of plastic scrubbers and I know they are bad for the environment. This bamboo brush is sustainable and natural, so at the end of its life, I can toss it in the green bin. Plus I think it will last longer than a plastic scrubber. Also, by chance, my hands have been hurting. I think these brushes are easier to use than a scrubber since they have a large knob to hold. You don't have to press with your fingers like you do with a scrubber. In fact, I think it might be easier for elderly people to use; and since there are 2, I am going to see if my mom wants to try one.I think for $7.99, this is priced very reasonably given that you get 2 brushes and a small dish to put the brush in after each use. (Although, I didn't actually need the small dish, since I have some the right size, so to be as green as possible, I wish that dish were optional.)UPDATE: Having used these for awhile, I noticed that it molds where the bristles meet the wood handle. Given that this is basically an all wood product, I can understand why that would happen. The best way to avoid the mold growth is to try not to submerse the bristles in water. I know that for some of you, this is a deal breaker, so I dinged it 1 star.

Not that great
The bristles on these brushes are very cheap. I ended up only using the dish and ordered another brush.
